How are you guys finding groups? Using the group finder for PUGs, LFG spam in zone, other guilds?

NeurosisHead posted:How are you guys finding groups? Using the group finder for PUGs, LFG spam in zone, other guilds? Honestly it depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for pledge groups, best place is to go to your faction's capital city and just broadcast yourself. Healers and Tanks get a lot more priority because there's a shortage of them compared to DPS, which is unfortunately a dime a dozen, and not in the good way. Even if you do find a group, it tends to be hit or miss regarding how well you can complete the dungeons. Berke Negri posted:That's a pretty good drop. I had a really good group this time around, we only wiped twice at Bogdan because we got hit with the fire AoEs at exactly the same time Bogdan did the area-wide jump attack.

So I figured out whats going on with the Shadow Mundus stone and why it sucks. Basically ZoS is dumb and the Shadow gives you the same value +CRIT damage as the warrior gives you +DAMAGE. So the warrior gives you the same bonus all the time, not just when you crit, and then when you do crit, that bonus is getting an additional +50% from in innate crit bonus. So if a normal attack does 1000 damage. Warrior will buff that to to 1016, then if you crit, it gets +50% so your crit will do 1524. With the Shadow, your normal attack will still do 1000. If you crit, it gets +51.6%, so your crit will do 1516. Even if you had 100% crit chance, Shadow would be worse than warrior. They did the same thing with the Champion system and the passives in the ritual. Why on earth would you take a +1% crit damage bonus when you could take a +1% flat damage bonus instead.

Because I'm a scrub who wants to see things gibbed in one fell blow, and I already made meself 5-piece set of Hunding. But I'm kinda considering just reset on those since I can't rush some thief passives, would be collateral.

Been back in the game for a few weeks now and am hooked again. Always been a slow leveler in any MMO coz I get sucked into crafting. The Justice system is a boon to fund my crafter levelling, which I've got to the mid 40s, while my toon is only at level 27. Enchanting is still a slow grind though, sheesh. If anyone needs a specific trait in Blacksmithing or Woodworker trait, shoot me an email @Pookerbacca and I will be happy to see if I can make you that item. If anyone can craft a Heavy chest piece with Infused, I would be grateful, it is the final piece I need in that line!

Well this only really applies to bosses. When running between bosses your job is pretty much to rush in and be the CC specialist, rooting enemies, interrupting casters, and drawin attention away from your healers and damage dealers. The Trinity is still present, but it's not as prevalent as other MMOs. For instance, the second boss in Veteran Spindleclutch is a straight up DPS race, which means EVERYONE has to off-class to DPS.

There is obviously some break point though where warrior is better until you get to a certain level of crit chance first, but I don't know what that is. I did notice my sustained DPS going up slightly with shadow vs warrior and I am at 55% crit chance. Which mundus stone depends on your build, and some builds might want to use armor traits other than divines, in which case the mundus stone effect is minimal.

After testing a half dozen Sorc PVP builds over the last month I've finally settled on something that provides great DPS, sustain, and survivability. Yes, all three are possible. High Magicka is very important with this build because shield stacking is what keeps you alive. If you're a Sorc I highly suggest trying this out (let me know if you don't have access to some of this gear and I'll try to find an alternative): Stat points: 62 in Magick (VR14) Gear is all Purple, V14 if crafted, and at minimum V12 if purchased. 1x Destruction Staff - I run flame most of the time but if I'm dueling or encountering a lot of tanky reflect DK's I will switch to lightning (they can't reflect it; plus it procs shards often). Sword and board is viable as well here for blocking and the reflect but you won't generate as much Magicka or Ultimate. 1x Healing Staff 5x Whitestrakes (2 Heavy, 3 Light) 4x Healer (3 Accesories, 1 Light armor) 2x Seducer (1 light armor, 1 staff -- both staves of course) The Whitestrakes provides survivability (the extra 9k shield procc'd at 30% has saved my rear end more times than I can count, especially when someone tries to gank me). Healer provides damage, sustain, and more magicka for bigger shields. Seducer gets your regen right to the sweet spot. I was running 2x Torug's Pact over seducer for more damage but the regen ends up giving you more DPS, so it was a good change. If you can't use Healer gear you should look into Warlock gear instead. I run 2 heavy pieces because with all the stamina stacking overpowerd bullshit happening these days you kind of have to. I know if I made one of these Medium I could take advantage of the Undaunted passive but based on testing both I like 2x heavy more. Champion points should be spent in Bastion for bigger/more powerful shields, magicka regen, and magicka damage. Obviously customize to your race and whatever you are weakest in. Bastion is required though. Shields keep you alive so you can dish out crazy damage. Enchantments are full magicka. I've got Nirnhoned on my staves but Sharpened obviously works too. I have 1 piece of my armor as Nirnhoned as well for extra spell resist but this isn't required. It is really nice though. For traits on your gear, make sure to use Infused on Helm, Chest, and legs. Divines on everything else. Your active mundus stone should be Atronach for magicka regen. Skills I use (but this is completely up to you): Bar 1: Degeneration, Velocious Curse, Crystal Frags, Crushing Shocks, Ball of Lightning (you could remove BOL and add Magicka Detonation if you have it, or an execute like mages wrath) Bar 2: Healing Ward, Boundless Storm, Hardened Ward, Harness Magicka, Ball of Lightning (Harness Magicka can be swapped with Shuffle depending on the situation and how many stamina NB's are trying to kill you, or BOL if you keep it on bar #1) Ults: Overload is great for insane light attack crits and the third bar so that's always on there, then I switch between Greater Atronach for unreflectable damage against DK's during duels, and flawless dawnbreaker to finish people off. With everything above my stats look like the following as a Dark Elf (in PVP land, with food stat buff): Magicka: 29100 Health: 20000 Stamina: 13000 Spell Damage: 1400 (1658 buffed) Magicka Recovery: 1483 Spell Resist: 15900 (23168 buffed) Physical Resist: 7983 (13359 buffed) If you're rolling a new Sorc go Imperial or High Elf. I went Dark Elf because Vampire was all the rage when I rolled mine, but it's not anymore. I am a werewolf however for the stam regen passive (but I never transform). With this build I can 1v1 pretty much any build in the game. I can't actually kill everyone, but they can't kill me either (which is better than dying); this is rare though, for the most part I win. In 1vX I absolutely dominate unless 3 NB's jump me at the same time, and even then I get away (barely) 50% of the time. The key is to sustain yourself, stay patient, don't panic, and wait for your opponent to blow through their resources. Wear them down with your 2 (or 3 if you have magicka detonation) DOTs while you keep yourself alive with your shields. Toss frags at them as they proc. Weave heavy and light attacks in when you can to generate mana and keep up the pressure. Eventually they will start to realize they can't kill you and get nervous. This is when you put on pressure and use ults. I think that's it! If you have any questions let me know. Thought I'd share this with others after trying a so many builds; you guys shouldn't waste all the money I did to get here. If you want to see a similar build in action check out KingRichard on YouTube. The idea for using Whitestrakes and the general playstyle comes from him (the rest of my gear is an improvement on his however). Plus he's loving amazing at this game, so you'll learn a lot. NB is pretty fun if you like to be annoying or burst things down in a matter of seconds. That being said, I main a sorcerer and it is incredibly fun. I've gone between both a melee build and a caster/healer build and there's no end to the cool poo poo you can do as one. If anything the only thing I'll say that Sorcerers can't do as effectively as other classes is tank, but that's by a moderate margin.
