not yet, give it about ten years absolute maximum for when google founders fear of death reaches critical levels (they'll start claiming success in two years i think)

you get hepatitis from biohackers not being good at medical procedures such as needle disposal and or sterilization and re-use "it's safe, i cooked it sous-vide at 120°F for two hours. Biohacking is so great, i'm so great"

Then someone taps him on the shoulder. There’s a kid having a bad trip in the bathroom, and in this hectic, anti-hierarchical festival, Eyre is the closest thing to an authority figure around.

“I am God,” a longhaired 20-something repeats to the people babysitting him in a bathroom hallway. “I am a perfect logical machine.”

Two girls huffing nitrous oxide from a balloon and a guy holding a needle come by. The guy with the needle says he has a chemical mixture that if injected will lessen the effects of hallucinogens. “I have the solution right in my hands,” he says. Eyre decides it’s a bad idea to inject the longhaired guy with a mystery drug — even if it could work in theory — and says he won’t allow it to happen.

“Can anyone refute that it will work?” the guy with the needle asks.

It might as well have been the slogan for the whole glorious epic of the Porcupine Freedom Festival.

or you just give them the same amount of ads and then jack up the ads for everyone else so nobody can say you lied if it ever goes in court

also that's the sort of "feeling smarter than you" that google likes, remember youtube-nocookie dot net or whatever it was and LSOs? wasn't a cookie, not a lie

I've never had a moral quandary with blocking them because gently caress ads. me posting on this site is evidence that I'm willing to pay for websites given the chance. I even donated to Adblock. but lol if you think I'm going to pay google to be the middleman that blocks their own ads and decides who gets my money.

lol moral quandary

you served a site to the public. i'll use whatever frankenstein browser combination i want, and if it fouls your ad revenues, that's your problem

welcome to the web
it's not particularly friendly to your revenue model
cope, or get the gently caress out

you'll be able to unblock youtube separately, no idea whats up with the google ad stuff. maybe they just go away from the entire internet instead of just googles own pages

ofc it'll involve google saddling you with some cookies to track you in order to turn off the ads
