On the other hand, Broad suddenly seems to have remembered that he can actually be a decent bowler when he bowls full. Openers can go a little slower but even in test cricket a batsman can't get bogged down. There is a difference between protecting ones wicket and just drowning. Still I didn't see his innings so he could have very well been batting sensibly rather than over cautious
