these were ages ago but holy poo poo these are loving beautiful. I don't give a gently caress about pokemon but these just ooze with a "WOW POKEMON IS MAGIC" feeling that actually makes me want to play the games. I mean I know you hardly need to market pokemon at this point but a short animation in this style would be loving magic and be enough to get even cynical pricks like me interested.

DBZ, for whatever reason, is a thing that crosses basically every racial and cultural boundary, and is also pretty successful at crossing age gaps despite the early efforts to extend the series being hot garbage. Talking out of my rear end here, but I have to imagine this has a lot to do with Toriyama's renewed interest in adding onto the series despite being disinterested in it and actually forgetting a ton of what he did with it.
