The first and second sure, but she did hardly anything in the third.

Except when Roxy backed her into the cage and punched her in the face a bunch. I agree 30-27 was the right score, but they weren't big 10-9s. Just doesn't feel right for some reason.

I wonder if they'll strike gold a second time putting an unknown Brazilian woman up against their champ. So far it's working better than unknown Japanese woman at least.

Every time Roxy punched Porto it seemed to have approximately zero affect on her at all, meanwhile Porto's leg kicks and punches actually made Roxy stop spazzing out for a second.

Yeah and then the imported strawweight division is slowly being decimated by Sean Shelby's prospects.

It's funny in a sad way how TUF and its aftermath made everybody go from "strawweight is an incredibly deep division and a total shark tank" to "yeah, they all kinda suck." It turned out that most of the division were either hugely flawed fighters, terrible human beings, or both. And then the whole thing was rendered moot by a mostly unknown fighter who wasn't even considered for the show beating the no 1 contender and then wrecking the champ.

I don't know anything about anything but that Askren fight was real bad. His footwork looked downright non-existent. That's how he got knocked down by a low leg kick, isn't it? I dunno, he just looks out of position and off balance the whole time, those takedown attempts were hilarious. People are saying this is how he gets it done - wearing down the other guy with his wild and weird style and his relentless pace. Ok, I can see it working against fighters who are equally terrible or who are just completely caught off guard by his approach. But his fundamentals seemed completely missing, in every way, in those few minutes. Like I don't know how people can even call him a good wrestler. I mean, I've never trained anything but if I shot sloppy ankle picks from a mile away and relied on my chin to carry me through, and eventually after the tenth try I was able to hang on and drag a tired opponent down, would that make me a "good wrestler" or more importantly a "good MMA wrestler"? What does he do with his opponents once he has them down? Just breakdance all over their heads? Does he beat people up or just hold them down? Does he sub people? What I'm getting at is "Why does anyone think he's good?" when what I saw in that clip made me think he'd look like a literal child in the octagon against anyone in the top, I dunno, 20 or even more in the UFC? Is there any welterweight in the UFC who wouldn't kick or punch his head right out of the cage?

All of his defenders are saying "Well Sapo was gassing so Askren would have beaten him if the fight had continued." So is the key to beating Askren "Be as good as Sapo, but also have a gas tank"? Because that doesn't sound too hard for your mid level UFC guys, let alone the top 20.

Michael 'British Double' Bisping would be a dominant wrestler in OneFC.

That was kind of the joke when Askren was beefing with Dana last year (?) after he turned down a UFC contract, he's perfectly happy to wrestle cans for way more money than be in a crowded division with a way deeper talent pool.

Imanari is fighting in Italy next month. He will probably try to heel hook the boot

Also, his opponent already has 1 heel hook and 2 kneebar losses to non-Imanari peole, so he can say arrivederci to his ligaments.

He'll rack up a few heelhooks on the way to the arena because stupid facists will confuse him for migrant labor.

Teixeira's had a few MMA fights in the last few years. He's in a difficult place in kickboxing because he combines not being very good with also being boring, which in Europe gets you some fights in Romania and in Brazil gets you gently caress all.

Honestly I'm more interested in seeing him fight in MMA even though he'll have even less offensive output.

Also, lol at "Winner of the K-1 World GP"

For those who don't understand: he won a one-night tournament, beating 3 Japanese fighters, on a show called "K-1 World Grand Prix in Fukuoka". He lost by decision in the first round of the ACTUAL tournament later that year.

But he followed that up with a split decision win over Le Banner so maybe... lol no I can't even type that with a straight face.
