i enjoy making fun of people who get entitled about video games but the dlc thing is the first time i've actually felt like something was literally false advertising. the loving main image for the game says "INCLUDES ALL DLC", making you think that the product you are buying and downloading has all the dlc. even the asterisk just says "*Does not include Paige. Some Content will be available via free download, Spring 2015." i guess we were supposed to understand that "some content will be available via free download, spring 2015" means "all dlc coming some day whatever"

"Some Content will be available via free download, Spring 2015." implies that the content will be free when its added, not that its going to be available as soon as the game is release. Im not sure why everyones getting so angry about this. Ive just gone and had a look incase I was wrong and the only things that say they are instantly available are the Hogan and Sting characters

Fwiw if you're unsure of how to accrue heel points in career mode, try and bum rush the ref with running attacks (you can't target them directly). Your only other real option is getting DQ'd and that robs you of sweet sweet match ratings.

Is there a trick to the 5 Star Frog Splash? I'm on the showcase match for RVD v HBK, and it wont trigger. I have all the other objectives done, and from what I understand when I have a finisher stored, I should trigger it from the top rope, opponent out on his back. However, I never get the finisher prompt and pressing Y does nothing. Am I missing something?

There is, you just can't select it as a signature / finisher in Career Mode, probably because it's already in use by a main roster guy. You have to "buy" "training time" with a main roster wrestler in order to use their signatures / finishers.

I think so. *e - The game does indeed end once you win the title, though technically it jumps forward in time to an unspecified WM for one last match. If you're consistently winning (and doing the Performance Center practice stuff) there's really no reason why you shouldn't be the most powerful wrestler in the game by that point. Also note that abilities (pin combo etc) affect your overall stat as well. Basic Chunnel fucked around with this message at 06:08 on May 3, 2015 |

Are there ever, like, feuds? Or programs? Or anything other than just picking from 3 matches forever?
|
# ? May 3, 2015 06:56 |

There are a few "programs" and I think they start when you debut on a new show. Off the top of my head, there's one where you tag with / fight against William Regal during his retirement match, one where you can join / oppose the authority, and one with Daniel Bryan. There may be some branching depending on your alignment but given how bare-bones the mode is in general, I wouldn't expect it to be too spectacular. But mostly it's "dark match or curtain-jerk" with the option to defend your title if you hold one. Once you hit RAW you can cash out and export your guy to universe mode, if you didn't already import him into career mode at least.

anybody who isn't just playing Universe mode is missing out because I'm having a great time with my stable of Sting's and Kevin Nash's along with Bray Wyatt eternally feuding with Warrior over the Hardcore title on NXT also Fandango won MITB and I had him cash in and beat Brock so that's a plus

My WWE is for exhibition/verses. Universe has its own roster & title tracking. Career and Showcase have their own enfored options and rules. And yes, it's been this way for the last few games and yes, it's highly obnoxious to need to make the same edits twice over.

It's funny, but for some reason I'm enjoying the limited CAW stuff right now. Reminds me of playing War Zone and Attitude on the N64 where you only got 2 heads and skinny/normal/fat body types. Also after all these years I finally have the perfect mask. <3

The shittyness of the AI continues to astound me. I'm playing the Nash/HBK/Booker vs Jericho/HHH/Flair match in Showcase mode. The objective is to pin Nash with HHH for the win. Sounds simple enough. Except that neither Flair or Jericho come into to protect my pins, so even if I pin Nash in our corner the pins most likely get broken up. Even worse, I just had Booker break a pin, then refuse to leave the ring, getting DQ'd and causing me to fail the objective because I didn't win how the game wanted me to. gently caress you Booker T Lasher posted:Cool, I'll give that a shot later. I recently reset my Universe and started from scratch, and one thing I noticed was that in doing, all my CAWs were immediately classified as Faces, so I had to go in and edit a bunch of them to heels. I do love the fact that you can select which attire you want the wrestler to compete in, and make it the default. Also, I'm talking about 2K14.

I'm downloading WWE 2K15 now, it's 20 gigs? Jesus, there's no good reason for that Edit: Wow the card for the Brian Pillman Memorial Show 99 in my TEW game is impressive. The main event had HHH going over Hulk Hogan Also, 6 months after WWF fell from National to cult, WCW is on track to do the same thing. I've always found it hard to maintain National level myself, that's why I'm staying at Cult for a long while. triplexpac fucked around with this message at 12:34 on May 4, 2015 |

HHH probably personally oversees his model's creation at every step to ensure that he's more muscular than he ever was, shinier than he ever was, and his beak perfectly sculpted. Even then, 2k15 so very blatantly just sticks long hair on his drat accurate old man face so he just looks like he's cosplaying a young version of himself. triplexpac posted:I'm downloading WWE 2K15 now, it's 20 gigs? You can kinda tell that they didn't have CM Punk on hand to work with, unlike some of the others. AJ is really close to what she looks like, her husband... not so much. The audience is straight out of the Uncanny Valley, though.

Certain moves are tracked as face while others are heel, unfortunately there is no way to tell which is which short of experimentation. Off the top of my head I can that the face stretch and any of the rope chokes are heel, ans possibly the corner dropkick as well. This reminds me, you used to be able to hold down a button to not break a hold when the guy was in the ropes, and the ref would start to count you out. That was awesome, it was a fun way to get into the heel role. So of course they took that out.

You at one point could also grab and hide behind a ref, who when you tossed him away would seek out your opponent like a guided missile to collide with him.
