You shared it with a dick.

This was the only time I've enjoyed Bruno Mars because having the mascot join the dancers was hilarious and also hot girls shakin' it. This is the time-out dance squad for the Colorado Mammoth lacrosse team. I've been going to their games lately, it's cheap entertainment and a good time with friends.

Anecdotal, to be sure, but the GTOS I have touched held up waaaaaaay better. The only CTSs I've touched almost universally had as many warning lights on as a 98 Mercedes with a disintegrating wiring harness and the leather in the seats was hard and felt like the cheapest poo poo ever made.

So the replacement trunk lid that came with my Midget seems to have its mounting holes threaded just slightly smaller than the other one... smaller than what Moss Motors thinks it should have, too. The bolts I ordered from Moss go in about half a turn before binding up. A trip through the hardware aisle at the OSH didn't turn up anything that would work either.

Now, since it's just slightly too small, would I be able to take a tap and re-thread it to work, or will I just totally gently caress it up?

If the thread pitch is the same, maybe you could chance it. But without a way to measure that, I don't know that I would feel good doing that.

Maybe it's standard thread for some reason? What's it supposed to have?

Went to the junkyard around lunchtime today to grab some parts for another AIer... and found a cordless sawzall, with battery and blade, under the hood of a car. Now that's some karma. It even had a charge still.

I'd feel sorry for the poor bastard who lost it but I've fed the junkyard at least as much in lost tools as I've gotten out of it. The junkyard giveth, and the junkyard taketh away. Even yelled "did anyone lose a sawzall" and waited a while before claiming it. No names written on it anywhere.

I love supercars. But seeing the maintenance requirements of some of them (for example Bugatti's requirement of x-raying the Veyrons' wheels every other tire change) make me realize even if I did own one, it would probably be spending more time under maintenance than me driving it.

I've seen some Bugattis and Maseratis in the greater Philly area. I wonder if they skip the x ray bit and just buy new wheels every year. My BMW wheels get hosed after 3-4, so yearly on a super car makes sense.

Pretty sure a set of tires (specially made for the Veyron) are $15k and only last 5k miles. Don't they say, don't buy a supercar unless you can afford two of them?
