Oh shi...

Real question: if there were no anime tits in the game and it was some generic player info instead, would you still play the game? Is there enough there that the tits are only for the supposed shock value, or is it a shallow game that would have died without the titty buzz?

As I've seriously said before: I'm pretty much playing the game in spite of the tits, it's a pretty solid game with a very very generous f2p model. Or a terribly priced one if you look at it from another way. It's pretty fun gameplay and you can be hands off if you want, letting the ai fight for you or taking control yourself. Tinkering with your team's builds and formations also make up a huge part of the fun. The dev team also makes huge sweeping game changes every few months, keeping things really fresh and interesting, as well as throwing new characters into the mix.

There's always gawking at the ridiculous anime though.

Well my post a little while ago about finding a fighting game for iOS left me finding out something nice about the new Mortal Kombat.

I decided to invest in it, and have some fun, so I bought the $25 pack or whatever it was that comes with Scorpion. Long story short, you can keep reedeming purchases forever. So now I've got pretty much unlimited credit and fully maxed characters... But it's not fun. So now I spent $25 to completely kill the game...

I might just pick 3 lovely cards I didn't fuse or max and just level them the old school way, using the premium currency to skip energy restrictions...

Really enjoyed the game, I'd say it got a bit of a short shrift in reviews. It's a decent little roguelite that works well on a touchscreen.

Any further advice than "just keep playing"? Every time I die I'm questioning why I am playing the game.

I'd probably play it more because I wouldn't feel utterly embarrassed about firing it up anywhere but at home. Planning a team is really fun because there's a lot of different systems, and the auto-play means I can be soccer manager to grind while I'm doing something like cooking or arguing on the internet but then play properly later to progress.

The Thunder players are my favourite because there's like four of them in fancy jumpsuits whose "evolutions" consist simply of their jumpsuit shrinking down to pasties.

Originally we wanted to release it a month or two after Grimrock 2 but in practice it was too much of a diversion when we still needed to focus totally on Grimrock 2 for the last few months of its development and post-launch updates and stuff. The programming of the iPad version was outsourced to a good friend of ours but things like graphics (UI and optimization where needed), arranging testing and setting us up for appstore distribution (it was the first time for us and it took us more time than we anticipated, especially due to some messy bank arrangements - we ended up having to open a new account just for getting app store payments) were mostly our responsibility which were delayed due to LoG2. Regardless, the time was well spent on usability enhancements, tutorials and a better automap etc and a longer testing period certainly was helpful for finding bugs too so I don't mind the delay.

First and foremost, there is this GameFAQs topic which is pretty comprehensive.

Short version: the game is balanced so that you start off increasingly more powerful every time that you die after reaching certain milestones. Follow your compass to find these. You also find that you "level up" your fists' damage constantly over time across deaths-- not sure if this is from battles won, damage inflicted, total game play time, or something else. Also the first few battles with a certain new enemy type are scripted and you are supposed to lose the first couple of times.

Your food goes down by 1 every few steps. Your water goes down by 1 every step. Budget your movements carefully at first. Carry as many weapon types as you're able as they all have separate cooldowns in battle. Only keep the highest durability weapon at any time as you can't switch mid battle (and broken weapons do 1 damage).

If all else fails, read that link from top to bottom, post by post as needed.

Buying hearthstone stuff - packs or adventures - in-game is a horrendous process on ios, at least from my experience and my light research on the issue. It takes days for the purchase to go through, and neither apple nor blizzard accepts responsibility for that delay.

I'd recommend downloading the hearthstone client on a pc or mac and buy it through that client (using paypal as your payment option) for the quickest purchase. I haven't purchased through battle.net but I know that adding funds to your battle.net balance similarly can take a day or days to be verified, also.

vvvvv Huh. I dunno. . I've tried multiple times and it never goes through immediately, and apple says "this is blizzard's problem," and blizzard says "this is apple's problem," so I just went around that by buying the adventures on the pc client.

I have some iTunes cash I want to spend, which is why I'm still trying to purchase through iOS at this point rather than try it on PC. At this point, I've submitted the purchase 5-6 times, so now I'm nervous I'm going to get hit with $150 worth of charges a few days from now :ohdear: I'll try again later this afternoon and see if there is any difference. Thanks for the information!

It's worth noting that it is in no way an actual soccer game. It's a combat game and you fight aliens or demons or something.

Opposite for me, the PC client refused to recognize that I had a payment method set up, support gave a generic useless answer, then I tried on iOS and it went through right away.

Why even purchase any IAP? The game is so generous in giving out gold that I have been able to progress easily over the past month or two without ever hitting a paywall.

Hi guys I know how everyone loves "recommend me a game" stuff!

I'm looking for something semi-deep to play on my iPhone 6 on a couple of long flights I have coming up. Something sort of like King of Dragon Pass or Civilization Rev but maybe newer that I haven't already played?

I'm really open to pretty much anything, just want something a little deeper than the average iOS game.
