Napolean Bonerfarts posted:You're not in the Xbox Preview Program by any chance are you? People are reporting that the Wireless Display (Miracast) app is causing issues with the game searching for matches. Something about an ad-hoc wi-fi connection or whatnot. Try uninstalling it if you have it. If you're not then it's probably just you—just saying. Maybe uninstall some Xbox apps and check your router/internet settings. If you google Master Chief Collection, the top result is a news article where 343 calls it a "black eye" on the franchise while promising Halo 5 won't have the same problems. Unrelated, Race the Sun is a fun way to lose track of time. It fits in nicely with Resogun and BoI as "I'll play a few rounds... wait, it's WHAT time now?" games.

Yeah, graphics aren't everything but there was zero reason it needed to be on the PS4 since it's literally an upscaled PSP game with nice lighting effects. It's ugly as gently caress. It's a full-on tragedy it looks so bad, because if you read the digital foundry article the port house actually did a really really good job putting the game on a modern engine, only for Square-Enix proper to put zero effort into up-scaling the PSP art assets.

I'm thinking about buying DMC, since I haven't played a game like that in a long time and I guess there will never be another better DMC or Ninja Gaiden game (and Bayonetta went console exclusive). Does anyone think a price drop is in its immediate future?muscles like this? posted:Man, Valiant Hearts sure is depressing. I'm way, way late to the party on this, but I just found out that none of the GTAV single player save data can be transferred to PS4. That pretty much guarantees I'll never play it even though it was bundled with my PS4. I spent forever getting all those damned UFO pieces and murder mystery scraps and whatever else. If I do wind up playing it again, I'll have to use cheats to even make re-playing lots of the story campaign fun or tolerable.

Does anyone think a price drop is in its immediate future? Apart from GTAV, all the remasters have been on sale a few months after they came out. I'm still waiting for DmC to go on sale, since the new version seems to fix all the gameplay problems I had with the original version. It was still a decent game when it came out, but now I won't be struggling with the wonky auto lock-on. DMC4 Special Edition is a day one purchase for me, though.

Real hurthling! posted:sleeping dogs seems like its always way more than other remasters too but thats probably a square thing and not a demand thing. I think it's on sale on the EU store right now for £11.99, but it and Saints Row IV are pretty poor ports if you have an old PC that can still run them at 1080p60 on max settings. The problem with some of these games were that their PC ports were too good. I'd love to have versions of Saints Row 2 or Deadly Premonition that were guaranteed to work, the Mass Effect trilogy where you didn't have to mod in controller support, and definitely Dark Souls where sliding down ladders with 60 fps hacked in doesn't sometimes make you fall through the floor. Resident Evil 4 got an entirely new PC port, but most of these other games are no longer supported and would only get any effort put in if they were ported to a new platform. Capcom significantly improving the Devil May Cry games is a great excuse to buy the new versions though, and I'd love to have some of the better PS3 exclusives since there was never the option to play those at a higher resolution or framerate. A lot of the later games like Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus, Beyond: Two Souls, and Puppeteer could easily have been PS4 launch games and still looked better than other games at the time.

Old Blood is awesome, though I'm finding it more draining to play than TNO for some reason, it's harder to go long stretches. They're both fantastic games though, very nice mash up of the spray'n'pray feel of the original Wolf 3D and a modern FPS engine.big mean giraffe posted:XBone was capped at 30, but PS4 had plenty of spots where it dipped, sometimes almost to 30.
