Like this one. http://fatigue.501gu.de/

(Totally not a malware link, I promise)

And if you want to raid enemy territory, you need to position your forces next to hostile space, which is problematique.

Looks like CCP is doing well. They recalled their bonds and repaid the 20 million $ debt they had.

Also they don't have to release their annual financial data anymore. That was just something they had to do as long as they had public debt listed on an exchange. Morons are livid and donning the tinfoil, of course. :v:

I haven't seen Gevlon Goblin weigh in, but yes, pretty much.

Now, granted, the logic here is more that they are only paying off debt to hide facts from the playerbase, and that they do so to hide that the company is in shambles… so it's actually narcissistic paranoid logic, if anything. If you have good drone skills, the Vexor is currently king of solo T1 cruisers -- sturdy, high-DPS, doesn't give a poo poo about being tracking disrupted, capable of defending itself from frigates. Second place after that is the Caracal, followed by the Thorax, followed much farther by the Rupture.

Moa is fantastic if you have perfect fitting skills and are already good at PvP, but it's not good on cheap fits or for solo neophytes. Arbitrators can be fun but are a bit tricky.

Avoid the Stabber, Bellicose, Omen, and Maller like they were the goddamned plague.

It's most likely that it was simply a debt refinance / cost saving measure. Those bonds were at 7%, which was good for the year when they were issued but is pretty high compared to modern interest rates. Replacing it with a bank loan at 3-4% saves money two ways: besides the lower interest rate, it means they don't have to file public information anymore, and there's significant overhead in doing that.

Public finance disclosures aren't just a matter of copypasting a spreadsheet and sending it to the state; they require third-party auditing, review by financial officers, etc. They are surprisingly expensive to produce.

I'm thinking about doing some solo lowsec pvp to improve my skills at pressing buttons. I expect to lose quite a few ships. Any suggestions on what I should use for that kind of self-administered bootcamp? I might buy like 20 of something and go out and lose em.

(I have some pretty ok pilots, and, aside from T3 destroyers (which I haven't trained yet because of a remap), I have a guy who can fly pretty much every non-pirate hull properly (non pirate because my core hull skills are kinda spread around a few different guys - eg my main doesn't have Gallente Frig V for some reason. Right now he's training capital skills.).)

Put a JC in Osoggur -- its a highsec two jumps from Rens and one jump from Amamake. Pick 3-4 frigs, make five of each of them at Rens, fitted. Don't JC back to Dek until you've lost them all.

Then start mixing bigger ships in.

I'd suggest starting with these three categories of ships, simply because each one exemplifies a different style of play:

* Atron or Executioner (mwd, scram, web, blasters/pulses) -- you overheat to 5km/s without implants or links, meaning that you can run down many long point kiter ships like slicers and condors.

* Breacher or beam Tormentor or rail Incursus (ab/scram/web) -- good examples of the scram kite. Tormentor is my favorite of these, but they're all good.

* Slicer or LML condor or long point Tristan -- the long kite. Learn to not get slingshotted.

Scram kite? I think I'll try the tormentor first. Does that mean I'm going to be using beams + inmf and orbiting at ~6k? Seems weird to think about kiting as something that happens at scram range. But then again what the gently caress do I know about solo pvp? What do I do if a garmur or some other long point kiting ship points me? Switch to Aurora and hope that I outlast him?

code:

Heat Sink II
Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste
Pseudoelectron Containment Field I
Adaptive Nano Plating II

1MN Afterburner II
X5 Prototype Engine Enervator
J5b Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I

Small Focused Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S
Small Focused Beam Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S

Small Energy Collision Accelerator I
Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I

Ok I purchased 5 of these, 5 of the slicers on the wiki (with tech i rigs for now until I'm confident), and 5 hull-tanked retard brawler executioners.

Yep -- the idea of kiting, regardless of range, is that you're keeping at a range where your weapons are effective and their weapons are not. The sweet spot for most scram kiters is around 8km -- out of the range of neuts and nos, but still in your weapon range. You'll default to INMF with the beams, which gives you a ~7-8km range depending on skills; if they're a double-web ship (or if you gently caress up) and they get in close, you can switch to Gleam which gives you ~3-4km range and more tracking.

If you get jumped by someone with a long point, yep, you switch to Microwave or Aurora. You're not quite fast enough with AB to slingshot.

I've already lost two tormentors. One to a rail comet in a fight that I might have been able to win had I remembered to heat my... everything, and then one in an agonizingly slow death to a garmur in which I made a couple mistakes in module management that I don't think made a difference in the outcome, because once my drones were dead I couldn't really do much to hurt him.

This is fun. I'm gonna take the executioners out next (if my courier contract from Rens gets accepted in time).

Goddamn everyone and his brother is in a comet out here.

e. Tormentors gone. 3 died to comets, 2 died to dramiels. One killed one comet, one was about to kill a comet but lost scram because I ran out of cap (because I ran out of nanite in my AAR. I don't ever remember using an AAR before today, so I'm still getting used to how they perform).
