Handy that Peridot knows how Rosemaster's magic works, so she knows exactly what she needs to destroy to get Almond to remember her again. And Rosemaster and Glitchmaster's original plan is probably already off the rails, so she might get away with ruining it even more.

The whole plotline about the princess was a fake-out, Rosemaster just messed with everyone's memories via her plant mind magic thing and made them forget about her. She's (Azalea) presumably R's assistant lady who is currently adorning the banner. Although I guess that doesn't explain how RM made Nautilus forget about her.

Then when the heroes get to the end it turns out, whoops, the sword doesn't actually work, the Big Purple wins, the villains live evilly ever after. Then Glitchmaster derailed that whole train and who knows where this plot is going.

Rosemaster can alter the memories of people who have flower names. She used this power to make everyone in the kingdom forget that the royal family existed, and also made them forget that Peridot existed after she tried to reveal things. Nautilus, Caboodle, and Peridot had to be captured because Rosemaster can't alter their memories making them wild cards capable of ruining her plan. Peridot got upset that Almond didn't remember her, so she broke Rosemaster 's magic vines, restoring everyone's memories. People are now distraught about Azalea, and earlier Nautilus found a fancy dress with an azalea flower on it.

Yup, and the only reason Nautilus doesn't remember is because her memory is pretty bad in general. RM wasn't aware of this which is why she took great pains to imprison her at the start of the chapter.

I managed to piece this together on my own, but I was really concerned that I was just not seeing some pages of CQ. Like the jump cut from Peridot screaming FAKE CONTEST to Almond just walking along and meeting Carrot. I went back and forth between those two going "wait where's the Peridot fight?" Turns out it's just Gigi's narrative choice to jump us when their memory was skipping.
