Probably information on how specifically to win this auction? It could be several things depending on whether "game" refers to the overall game or this specific challenge

Fast Luck
Feb 2, 1988

garthoneeye and imgay have bid $1.

Chic Trombone and DoggPickle have bid $3.

Is that enough?

Sold! To AnonymousNarcoritcs for $8! AnonymousNarcotics, you will receive this information by PM when the auction is over.

Hahah great minds think alike. 1 dollar was too obvious for a tie, and we both skipped $2. We still lost but hahah good show =D

This auction will now go entirely silent.

Our next item...

Can i confirm if my bid of three dollars is gone or is still my own money?? I'm sorry to be dumb but that's kind of important.

Fast Luck
Feb 2, 1988

You still have the $3. You only lose money if you WIN the item, or if you TIE for winning the item, in which case you lose half the money and the item is put back up for bid.

I'm happy to answer this question in the thread but going forward, remember, no posting!

Fast Luck
Feb 2, 1988

Bidding is final.

The submitted bids were...

$1, by AnonymousNarcoritcs.

But she was beaten by Strong Mouse, who put up $2 of his beauty contest winnings.

This was bested by Chic Trombone, who bid $4.

AnAnonmyousIdiot also bid $4!

Fast Luck
Feb 2, 1988

However, the item was won by MMM, who bid $9!

MMM, would you like to keep this item, or SWAP it for another covered item?

Jump King
Aug 10, 2011

uh, uh,

uh

oh god

oh god

Swap?

Fast Luck
Feb 2, 1988

MMM turns down the initial covered item, and picks a second!

MMM, your prize is being sent to you by PM.

Everyone else, time to bid on the item MMM won, but traded back in. It is BACK up for sale!

Send me your bids beginning now.

Is the rest of the auction completely silent or was that a per item thing? I am really not trying to be a pain in the rear end; I just want to be clear??

Fast Luck
Feb 2, 1988

It is completely silent. Don't post - send me a PM or a Skype message. Bid or tell me you are not bidding within 5 minutes of each item being posted!

If you post again you can be evicted from the auction!

Fast Luck
Feb 2, 1988

Rurea has been evicted from the auction for not having submitted any bids/ non-bids.

Okay, let's see who wants the covered item that MMM turned down!

This looks like a crowded bidding field!

Fast Luck
Feb 2, 1988

AnonymousNarcotics threw in a $1 bid.

But that was easily surpassed, as Strong Mouse put up $3.

Only to be outdone by Jato, who bet $5.

AnAnonymousIdiot one-upped Jato with a $6 bid.

...

But imgay outdid AnAnonymousIdiot, bidding $7!

However...

DoggPickle outbid all other players, putting in the $9 MMM had originally offered.

SOLD!

Fast Luck
Feb 2, 1988

DoggPickle, your covered item will be delivered to you by PM.

The next item up for grabs...

is information once again. The cost of this item is $3. The names of those bidding will not be shared. The information, if bought, will be posted directly in this thread for everyone.

Once again, you have 5 minutes.

Fast Luck

One player bid $2 for this item, but it was a $3 minimum. That bid was tossed out.

Six players opted not to bid.

Two players were willing to pitch in their $3 to buy the information.

Fast Luck
Feb 2, 1988

The information was...

code:

Okay guys, I've got another covered item here for you to bid on.

5 minutes. Please contact me privately.

Fast Luck
Feb 2, 1988

Looks like the purse strings are finally being loosened, but was this the right time? And how many items remain? These are rhetorical questions only, of course.

Here we go, on this latest covered item:

Narcotics putting in another token bid at $2.

Strong Mouse trumps her with $5.

Awful Survivor celebrity 8 Dollars gets a name check as both MMM and DoggPickle bid $8.

But the purse strings are really loosening here.

Fast Luck
Feb 2, 1988

The following players have bid $10 on this covered item:

Chic Trombone
AnAnonymousIdiot
Jato

But garthoneeye... has bid $14!

Fast Luck
Feb 2, 1988

And the item is SOLD!

to imgay. For $17!!!

Fast Luck
Feb 2, 1988

We had a few bids trickle in for the Max Peck-donated game.

$3 from imgay.
$3 from Strong Mouse.

And a bid of $8 from DoggPickle.

However, DoggPickle was beaten by Chic Trombone, who bid $10 for the game.

You'll receive the link by PM, Chic.

Fast Luck

Next item will be sold covered again:

Please submit your private bids within 5 minutes.

Fast Luck
Feb 2, 1988

Perhaps sensing the end of the auction is near, we got a lot of heavy hitters wading into the bidding this round.

imgay bids $3.

DoggPickle offers $8.

MMM bids $9.

Strong Mouse and Chic Trombone say they'll pay $10.

$12 is offered by AnonymousNarcotics.

We have a bid of $15 from AnAnonymousIdiot.

And garthoneeye offers $19.

But, oh no, Jato has ALSO offered $19! Both players feared a 20-20 tie, and ended up tying 19-19!

Both players lose $10!!!

The item is back up for bidding. Please submit your bids.
