I was never a newbee, just a terrible pubbie with exclusively red-cross-shooting experience. My "intro to not being terrible" experience was when I learned that not only was my HIC not useful at a cloaky gatecamp, but that I was perhaps the only person in existence that had trained into a HIC but not a dic

Dic is a destroyer sized ship that can drop bubbles and then fly away and live. Hic is a cruiser sized ship that projects a bubble around it and can focus it into a point to tackle super caps. They are only good for tackling super caps really as they are too slow, expensive and specialised to be used in other situations since a Dic will do the same job better for 1/5th the price.

You guys are all dumb and got taken on the Pooki victim train. The only reason Pooki got killed was because it was a wormhole fleet. A battleship has the mass of ~20 tengus. You can't take battleships through holes you want to come back through unless you know the hole is 100% fresh (we didn't). So basically Oxygen's choice was let Pooki bring his snowflake fit through the hole and risk trapping his entire fleet (or worse half of it) or just telling Pooki not to come. Order of events: 1. Before the fleet goes out Pooki asks me if taking a nightmare on this fleet will gently caress over the tengu fleet, I tell him yes. 2. Oxygen calls for a tengu fleet to come through a WH to help me. 3. Pooki asks to bring the nightmare, Oxygen tells him no. 4. Pooki comes along anyway in the nightmare. Oxygen kicks him from fleet. Pooki rejoins the fleet and keeps burning to the hole. 5. Oxygen asks me on global "there is a battleship following me to the WH, I told him not to come and kicked him from fleet can I commissar him". I say yes, because I care more about getting an entire fleet back to Deklein than one nerd in his special snowflake ship (at this point I hadn't put two and two together and realized it was Pooki in the BS). 6. Oxygen kills him and then vacillates on if the pod is allowed to be killed. 7. Pooki starts telling everyone Oxygen killed him because he was worried about killboard efficiency. Everyone buys into this narrative because it sounds like the kind of thing we love making fun of primadonna FCs for. 8. 5 pages of posts about it on SA. That's roughly what happened. Oxygen should have told his fleet clearly not to shoot the pod, that was overboard. Pooki and I are homies but he was dumb and then got ahead of the story with a good spin which is kind of something he likes to do, I'm sure he's enjoying the meltdown about this.

So I apologize if these are stupid questions, if I was in the corp like 2-3 years ago, can I rejoin? (assuming I am not currently in it) Is it worth joining if my playtime is realistically like 1-2 hours a night 2-3 times a week? I am thinking of reactivating my account.

Yes, assuming you're not blacklisted for some reason. Sorta - it all depends on what you want to do. Most mainfleet poo poo takes ages to get spooled up, and even longer to go do its thing, which may or may not result in a fight. Most of the sub-organizations do their own poo poo which tends to get out of the gate faster and be a little more flexible on where you're going/what you're doing/how long you can stay out for. Plus, generally if you can't find something to do with people there's a reasonable amount of solo activities you can get up to with varying levels of fun.

Instead of plexing your accounts you should definitely be using your buddy trial invitation and make alt accounts, and plex those so you get your 30 days and free genos on top of it. I currently have over 300 of each genolution implant.

This is the first time Darkness hasn't formed up to fight us in about a month so it was a strong bet that they would. The other times Oxygen has gotten blueballed have been due to WH collapse and wife aggro. We still got fights both those times on the other side of the WH, it's just too bad that when he finally gets here it was after a fight where we tarred them and they were too depressed to come out.
