As long as you do your job and don't break any rules, they can't fire you. If they do, hire a lawyer and sue them because whistle blowers are protected under the law.

EDIT:

This might go out the window in a right to hire state but whistle blowers are offered protection under the law regardless of these rules.

Well the thing is they did a 180 on something. About five months ago slapping an infant on the hand and saying "no thank you" was okay. The director has seen us do this. The director told us that was okay. But today we were told if they see that it's ground for termination and she denys having said it.

So depending on how assholeish they're feeling I might be out of a job soon.

Boy, I'd love to live in the magical fantasy land where this is true.

I work nights and thus it was impossible for me to be up at loving noon (Which would be something like 3 in the morning to most people) to click buttons. I would buy a beer for any goons willing to run Call of Cthulhu!

The goon willing to run it would get two beers! One from me and one from BlackIronHeart (He gets the more expensive one)

I had to read this three times before determining you are, literally, talking about slapping infants. Now I understand you are saying that it is a comically non-slap slap, but still I just learned that I apparently assume basically anything talking about babies is a metaphor

Its pretty bad rear end actually. Essentially you build a team as if you were building a warhammer army, each character in the game has a certain amount of points associated and then you battle. Trust me its really good, has like over 150 characters, I will teach you how to play, you will get a free figure and you will like it.

Hey boardgoons, is there anything I can personally bring that would be of interest for folks? Specifically, if anyone digs complicated eurogames I can provide some pretty good stuff.

Also someone last year brought Netrunner cards and if they do that again I'd like to bring my set.

2 player starter box is 80 bucks, each additional figure is either in a 8 dollar blind box or in 6 character expansion that you know what you are getting. Those are 45. Bonus maps are made of nylon like material like a play matt and those are 20 bucks a pop. Think a cheaper more consistently randomly heroclix. Also it has an awesome show on netflix called Wakfu ( watch the sub, dub is poorly voiced).

Well the girlfriend thinks the figs look cute so definitely gonna be stopping by the booth. I'm slowly dragging her into the gaming hobby but I don't want to overwhelm her with rulebooks and unit options and all the other fun (to me) stuff that goes along with miniature games.

I don't think Krosmaster is an AMAZING game, but it is a pretty simple one as far as minis games go, if she thinks it looks cute you should give it a chance.

I think GenCon was being slow about adding more events. I saw someone on another forum had signed up but the game wasn't showing up in the GenCon system.

There's always a few things that get announced at the very last minute basically by word of mouth. Last year the Gumshoe panel was like that.

I love how inclusive GenCon has become from where it was in the early 2000s. I love how huge it is, I love the sense of acceptance and camaraderie. But goddamn aren't there other conventions for that kind of thing?

To be fair I would seriously consider paying $4 for the experience of being in that Letter To Senpai room with people who would pay $4 to be in that room.

I pretty much do not understand the appeal of anime as a lifestyle, but those events do all at least tend to be in the same area which serves as an Anime Jail for the entire convention (outside of the Exhibit Hall, anyway).

Which day is the best to spend browsing the exhibitor hall? I figure the first day will be the best to get anything limited, but also the busiest. I don't mind crowds, but if it's much better to wait to demo stuff and other things like that then that'd be fine too.

Thursday at opening and most of Saturday are most crowded. It's always mobbed right at opening because some booths do multiple days of limited release stuff.

Friday tends to be pretty chill in my experience and sometimes there's deals on the stuff that's left on Sunday.
