I believe Day by Day jumped the shark in 2007, when the company the main characters worked for went out of business and the strip started branching out into crazier and crazier poo poo. More recently, Muir has started to take his art in "bold" new directions, so the art quality has gone down as well. I'm not saying that even Muir at his best is as good as Miller at his worst, but both men have have definitely allowed their minds and talents to wither.
