So I guess Chaos Dragon, the anime adaptation of the tabletop campaign a bunch of anime writers/artists played, changed Gen Urobuchi's character for some reason?  That's. Sort of a lateral design move.

Sadly the anime won't be able to capture the feel of the moment when Urobuchi has his character decapitate an NPC that's almost identical to Saber, looks across the table at Nasu, and shrugs.
