Most podcasts have a management because of a network affiliation who can organise stuff like that, so UYD doing the same sort of thing without any affiliation or sponsorship is pretty impressive.

Yeah I was very surprised to see their show sold out when I went, since I never really see them high on the comedy charts on iTunes when I check. Usually below #50. Either way, it's pretty great.

I wonder if Seth's heard about this. I guess the m4m casual encounters aren't the only exciting ones after all.

Yeah, They're outside the Big Podcast affiliates, Nerdist/Maxfun etc... I think they're a pretty big podcast that still runs like a small time one...for various reasons. Either way, it's nice to not have to hear a square-space advertisements, or increasing attempts to monetize their 'brand'.

I'll be honest, it may not be, I just saw the article was about Craigslist, murder, and huge dicks and I immediately just started thinking about what Seth and Jonathan would think about it, I'll research it more.

Speaking of British stories that would interest Seth, I read this the other day and thought it would infuriate him if it had happened to an American. Has all the key components of an unfair sporting loss, and computers running wild with power.

I'm catching up on the live episodes, Jonathan having sleep paralysis, looking it up online, and coming to the conclusion he was astral projecting is one of the funniest things I've heard in a while. I can't believe Seth offered so little resistance to that.

Live shows and merch sales seem to go well enough you'd think they might do other things but nope. I don't really find it nice cause they obviously struggle like anyone else but only they are holding themselves back so you can't really say anything otherwise.

Personally I dislike most adverts on podcasts, I don't need to square my space or buy socks for my balls, and don't even get me started on how audible took a bunch of my money because I forgot I signed up and they take your money through an amazon account. which btw is their business model taking money because you forget about signing up for a trial.

My buddy kind of new to UYD and I were at the front row of the show and I whispered to him "this is where Jonathan starts explaining things in the Jonathan way" and you can hear his giggle/laugh. You should have seen Seth when he was trying to explain it.

I wish the best for them too. I do wonder if they had it together on the business side, if the show would even be able to exist.

Jonathan has lived a charmed life amongst the elite and will inherit millions, seth has a decent job and will be fine.

I've had to drive a lot more for work recently, and I was getting a bit worried about not having fresh podcasts to listen to on the highway but you have just reminded me how great it feels to dip into old eps.

Worth using a public tracker for it because Seth sends his infringement notices by personal telephone call right through to your IP address from a payphone on Larchmont.
