Generic Monk posted:The quest where you help Triss and the mages escape Novigrad stands out as completely bugged - got most of the way through the sewers before I realized Triss wasn't following me, went back and got her then realized she'd turned invisible, I was hearing Geralt's dialogue like it was 20ft away through a wall etc. Quite something. What does that have to do with rock trolls? Edit: Ah, post was edited.

My deepest regret is that you never got to shank Philippa for the poo poo she pulled in 2. I was really hoping for that option during the sun stone quest but there's always the expansions to look forward to. Honestly, Radovid had the right idea about the lodge. Shame about the whole being a crazy batshit murder gently caress about every one else with a hint of magic though.

It's absolutely hilarious how no matter what you do Philippa of all people comes out of this game smelling like roses, after all the poo poo she pulled and all the plans that blew up in her face. It's like a cosmic joke or something, one of the most hated people in the entire world just bumbles through by dumb luck. I kinda love it.

Yo FYI after I fell in love with the orphans and their good pal jonnie I freed the tree spirit. Then i went back to the boss man of Downwarren and he told me the crones bring them a big cauldron of meat once a year Seems pretty obvious what that is and is another solid reason for making the choice I did.

While I do appreciate the effort up into a lot of the side quests, it feels to me like they really overdid it in some areas. My complaint mostly stems from all quests in Novigrad that seem to enjoy sending Geralt out to the countryside to run some errant. And its a pattern too, nearly every side quest in Novigrad has this pattern of 3-4 things to do in-city, then all of a sudden you gotta ride to some destination half way across the map for 1 reason (and usually it is just 1 thing you gotta do to advance the quest) that could have easily been taken care of in the city, then come back to city to finish the quest. This is annoying and time consuming and more so because it happens on nearly every single questline in the city.

So I kind of hosed up on the whole Dandelion quest line and completely skipped the "Gangs of Novigrad" questline. Is it interesting enough that I should roll back a save or am I fine in skipping it?

You storm the various locations instead of infiltrating them. Don't worry about "failing" it.
