And not in the sense of "This guy is totally a pedophile based on his works," the dude has pretty much admitted it.

I'm pretty sure I tebagged the poo poo out of the Invader mothership in the finale of XCOM and went home with my main officer looking like a goddamn psyker messiah. That's bullshit that they lost. Unless it's some sort of "Well, we don't need the XCOM program anymore since the aliens are all dead" thing.

XCOM lost early on and never developed the technology needed to fight the aliens, aka The Ending 75% of it's PC Playerbase Achieved.

Weren't the OC aliens just a scouting party or something? They were looking for badass races for some strange purpose, and this scoutship just happened on a race that was more badass than they expected, that's all. The head Ethereal we killed in the original campaign wasn't their God-Emperor, but just some middle management dude. From what I can see, XCOM2's story is what happened after the big bosses took notice and got serious.

The one where you hosed up horribly and everyone suffered death by chrysalid.

He was the Council rep in the previous game who was basically your boss, more or less. And yes a couple of years ago he was mistaken for Peter Cullen then, too. Which was his intention, as he was basically asked to do his best Optimus Prime impression for the role.
