I saw a guy using a handset connected to his phone one day in public. I assumed people just got those as gag gifts.

Doesn't switching to Classic in Windows 7 disable the desktop hardware acceleration making everything slower?

I think the book has improved leaps and bounds as it has gone on. But I was pretty on board after the first arc too. The three minis are good too, the last of which is still in progress. The entire series only has a couple issues left before it wraps up.

I like the series as a whole, but feel like about every other arc drags a bit. It's a weird start and stop with the momentum.

Still, I need to know how it ends!

In today's sale?
Greg Pak's Action comics #25+ and Geoff Johns' Superman from #32 are great.
Pak's Batman/Superman (minus 5-9: Bret Booth drawn arc and crossover with Worlds' Finest) and Charles Soule's Superman/Wonder Woman are very decent, and they cross over with Action for the Doomed thing.

Here's the sale

With the crossover? Skip the Doomed issues if you have to. Pak's Action is really one of the best comics going.
Geoff's Superman is completely unrelated to the event.

Looks like IDW is updating their apps and brining on Android and Windows versions. It doesn't look like this will affect their books on comiXology. There's something being said about free books if you sign up, but I don't use iOS and don't have time for individually branded apps.

All of the HItman and Dr. Fate issues on offer are great and deserve your money.
Hitman #34 belongs in the "Superman stories to give people who bitch about Superman being boringly perfect" file.
Batman & Robin is all aces, as is Batman Inc., but I figure their reputations precede them.
Justice League 3000 might be worth it at $0.99 each, but I don't think Giffen & DeMatteis got anywhere near their JLI laughs, even with Blue & Gold's return.
Futures End is okay from about #40 onward, as the endlessly wheel-spinning story threads start wrapping up and showing consequences. Just don't get suckered in by Ryan Sook's amazing covers like I was...

The first twelve issues of Power Girl are the "essential" ones.

I would also highly recommend Midnighter #7. BKV writes a one-off story about how Midnighter's powers work in a novel fashion and well worth the $0.99.

I've only read through it all the one time, but I'd say I enjoyed the series; it's got a real Fallout vibe to it (without the 50's aesthetic) and the narrative is really good for about 50 issues. After that point, it start getting pretty confusing and the last 5 or so issues are the story of how the world got the way it is. The art's mostly decent, but can be a bit shaky at times and sometimes the characters can only be differentiated through dialogue.
