If not, I hope you're only going to use on calm wave- and windless days - otherwise you'll have trouble keeping it on course...

That's the plan. Where we live, we're like 200 feet from a river and there's a connection into a system of smaller rivers right on the other side. We can get rocked a little bit crossing the big one depending on the wind/wake, but once we're into the smaller system we're golden. We're looking at them as starter kayaks anyway - we wouldn't have justified buying them if they weren't on at a pretty good discount at this point. We'll see how much we like it before maybe upgrading in a year or two.

Xenoletum posted:

The idea of you in a kayak is hilarious to me and you/your SO better post some pictures up of your adventures.

We were out there for few hours today, it was pretty awesome. I'm sure there'll be some pics at some point. We've been talking with some friends who have canoes about trying to organize something up the river. I need an appropriate hat. Can't be a kayak guy without the right hat. Find an excuse for a road trip up here some time and we'll stick you in either a kayak or a hat.

Cause it's a figma figure.

I already own a marble one that's obviously a static piece. I saw these being offered and had to snap one up.

Upgraded from an S2 to an S6 yesterday. :v: I avoided the Edge because I knew I wouldn't make use of the features. Got it bundled with a Tech21 case and a wireless charging pad. This is the first time I've ever had the latest in phone technology; I run my phones into the ground.

I went to the DVD shop on the other side of the park and bought a bunch of movies (if it didn't come out of a ½€ bin, I ain't watching it). As I was walking out I happened to glance down to the stack I had in my hand and the one on top was a Swedish porn DVD. I took it back and said "this isn't mine" but I still don't know if the owner gave it to me by accident or if it was supposed to be a nice freebie

Guy who owned before me redid all the mechanicals. Body has one small ding in the right rear quarter that someone would have to point out for you to notice. Only 1450 miles on the new engine, and he accepted my first offer, so I got a great deal. Once I bump up the stereo to cruiseworthy standards, I will be set.

Pretty fuckin jazzed already, tho. It's everything I'd hoped.
