I watched a lot of sailor moon when I was a little kid to the point that when I was 6 i wanted to have a sailor moon themed wedding That's about all I remember about sailor moon though. Just that I watched it a ton lol

The first anime I ever watched was voltron. I liked it because it had a giant robot made of lions. Then I remember seeing a few years later some 90s CG version of voltron and I only saw it once and it looked like poo poo

i feel like Escaflowne is the one infamous for gratuitous editing, to make Van the protagonist instead of Hitomi. CCS cut the gay romance and most romance period, but i don't remember the focus on Syaoran being too bad.

At least someone realised what a terrible idea that was before it actually happened.

I really really liked speed racer as a kid so I was given a vhs tape of a speed racer movie that was just a bunch of episodes of speed racer about the giant truck thing and it ended with a weird 90s techno remix of the speed racer theme played over a buncha women dressed up as speed racer rubbing themselves and trying to dance

When I moved to pennsylvania, there was this commercial that kept playing and I can't find it but it was for a store called "Joy's Japanimation" and it was always like "COME HERE GET YOUR FAVORITE SPEED RACER AND SAILOR MOON AND OTHER JAPANIME MERCHANDISE" and I didn't really get it. Later on I remember a commercial where it was a bunch of people shouting out their favorite anime names and catchphrases and poo poo so it's like "DRAGON BALL Z!" "SAILOR MOON!" "G GUNDAM!" "YU YU HAKUSHO!" "TEEN TITANS GOOOOOOO!" and I wish I could find that commercial cause the guy shouting "TEEN TITANS GOOOOOO" was just fuckin hilarious That place still exists, and I live closer to them now than I did in the past, so maybe KCB and I will go check it out and laugh at it or something idk. I'd have to make an excuse to head out to that city though since according to the city's own website, the only reason to go out that way is for the motherfuckin big mac museum Joy's Japanimation's website is pretty badly done too. I guess they paid someone to redesign their website sometime in the 2000s but whoever redesigned it made it look like poo poo. It went from looking like  &  to looking like  lmao
