we suspect the lawyers hosed up but they won't admit. they CLAIM they had 15 working days, so they aren't getting the LIM till monday at the earliest, but it's meant to be unconditional the friday before. and the people selling are getting cold feet apparently, but they can't back out of the contract, but if we can't check the LIM we might need to ask for an extension and that might be their get out of jail free card, and we'd lose out buying the place which wouldn't inherently be so bad but THIS places sale will likely go unconditional today, so regardless this house is sold and we have to move which would otherwise have meant we have a month to find a place to live.. but we have a 3 week holiday in Thailand starting sunday, so signing poo poo or organising poo poo won't be easy at least finance is sorted... NZ home loans were willing to loan us over a million to keep this house AND buy new one. what a bad idea that would have been. insurance sorted... if the lawyers hadn't dragged their feet and already looked at the LIM, we would be able to go unconditional before we left and holiday in freedom. gently caress this poo poo

good news for those in the care: our lawyers must have realised they done hosed up coz they got us the LIM report today, rather than monday which they said was the earliest they could. clearly pulled some strings anyway, all of a sudden entire process has turned nice again. maybe go unconditional tomorrow or Friday, sign some bank poo poo to "lock in da rates" and um... take my 4 and 6 year old on a three hour flight then an eleven hour flight

Yea you're not really paying for the house on a section anymore, you're paying a price that represents the development potential in a market with really high land prices.

my dad was a cop. back when cops and traffic officers were seperate things. then they joined and they always resented the traffic cops that got in without true cop training anyway. he worked homicides and rapes. he's seen some poo poo. my wife used to work ICU. they'd chat about the worse hosed up people they had seen. I'm glad I don't work that scene still my dad is racist. thinks cops need guns. cops terrify me. people go to jail in this country without having hurt people. I am scared a cop will dislike me coz idk my hair is too trendy.. and lock me up. my family will suffere just because a cop was bored one day.

I would say that it's wrong to conflate 'cops are smug fucks a lot of the time' with 'people can't drive for poo poo'. The two aren't really related and don't cause eachother. Cops may or may not be smug fucks a lot of the time, but it makes no sense to use people's poo poo driving to defend their hypothetically smug fucky behaviour. People driving like poo poo is a politically engineered situation w.r.t. laughably easy vehicle ownership, a joke of a licensing system etc etc. The cops enforce the retarded policies politicians come up with because everyone voted into office/assigned by someone voted into office is too afraid of deviating from the statistical mediocrity that is NZ political thinking. In order to appease the zombie-like NZ public they continue to enact policies that are like trying trying to bandage a wound that needs intensive surgery. Cops being or not being smug fucks a lot of the time has no cause nor effect relating to this. I might add, poors aren't noticeably worse drivers than rich cunts. They just tend to have slower cars. As a random thought, I feel like most new zealanders are insanely conservative but only in the strict meaning of the word: they're willing to try any social policy as long as nothing ever changes because things not staying exactly the same forever and ever is evil and bad. e2: wording, stoner Slavvy fucked around with this message at 10:13 on Jun 25, 2015 |
