I was having trouble with the Batmobile for the entire game, but after three shots, I'm ace at it.

I suck at the actual Batman parts of the game now,but my point is that having a very slight delay on reaction time seems to make the Batmobile control very well.

so the required specs and general mess of the PC release actually has me pretty concerned about my computer being able to run this game.

I've got:
i7 2600k 3.4
16 gb ram
dual 560ti cards with 2 gb each.

the ~minimum~ recommended specs are a 660 (2gb) card. Am i even gonna be able to run this game at all?

At this point I feel that specs mean nothing and whether or not you can run this game well is dependent on RNG.

Probably not. Apparently SLI functionality is completely broken for this game so having two graphics cards isn't going to help, and the 560 is below the minimum requirement. That said, performance is all over the board with people running 980ti cards saying the game is unplayable while people with older rigs report running the game on highest settings at a steady 60fps.

It's basically a gamble at this point but I wouldn't spend the money. Odds are definitely on the pessimistic side.

I'd say that everything's fine except for, obviously, your GPU. If you get SLI working you'll probably be able to get something playable at 1080p though, probably.

This game really fucks with your head. It's so cool. The Hush part was nuts. Again, I knew he was going to show up somewhere, but I didn't expect that at all. The Jason Todd flashbacks, along with entering the quarantine chamber, then putting Tim in it was nuts too.

Yeah, the PC version is a mess, but I'm not gonna buy a PS4 dammit. I'm still really loving enjoying this game.

The first Riddler racetrack was super poo poo. Especially when you're still getting used to the Batmobile controls. The next challenge is platforming, and way better.

Been playing this a fair bit; performance wise I get some stutters and it's not buttery smooth or anything but it's playable. The combat is absolutely beautiful but it's almost a shame how fast it's over. Is there a hard mode? I've been playing Witcher 3 for ages and this game's combat is a cakewalk by comparison. Just completed Ace Chemicals and the story is absolute batshit nonsense, and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. Overall pretty fun. Would be worth the £20 I paid if not for the dreadful port quality.

The batmobile puzzles seem to vary between "oh that's neat" and "will you just loving LET IT GO" depending on how excruciatingly long they are. Tankmobile combat is fine; it accomplishes what it sets out to do, though I don't think anyone wanted batman to turn into a weird arcadey vehicle section every 20 minutes. Who's idea was it to have the main bad guys be a camo-suited army anyway? Of all the different insane poo poo in the batman universe you could've used, why choose the most boring thing possible? I thought this up off the top of my head in 3 seconds: they evacuate most of the populace but fear toxin gets quite a few of the stragglers who are rioting or patrolling in marauding gangs, with the police and all their hardware being put under scarecrow's thumb to act as his henchmen. Not a good idea but better than "army men go boom boom and shiny jason todd batman go grumble grumble"

Yep, this is what I don't get. I love the Batman games for the strategic combat where I get to scare the poo poo out of thugs by slowly picking them off one by one. That was the bulk of the old games. Now every few minutes we're forced to drive the batmobile and shoot tanks over and over and over and over again. Who thought this was appropriate for a Batman game? Are the developers just bored of the old mechanics or something? There was nothing wrong with the old formula.

Doesn't even really add anything to the game; the 'pull thing off wall with rope' thing? In the other games. The 'explode bit of wall' thing? In the other games. Getting round the city? Done better in the other games, and in this game. Why would I drive and have to potentially fight lovely tanks when I can literally fly through the air like a bird?

It was a puzzle where, after having to launch myself out of the batmobile a few times, I had to get through a ring of spikes like the ones you line launcher'd your way through in City. I attempted to line launcher my way through and it just kept automatically killing me. In retrospect, I suppose it still wanted me to glide through them with a good launch but I was so sure that I needed to line launcher that I died several times. Then, after god knows how many deaths, when I respawned next to the Batmobile, there was a lit up green question mark button that hadn't been there before. Hitting it lowered the wall next to it and let me finish the puzzle. Riddler was very condescending about it but I guess at that point he had a right to be :downs:

Yeah, like I said, in retrospect it probably wouldn't have even been that hard to do correctly. But I only realized I was supposed to just glide through the tunnel as I was typing the first post. Dear Rocksteady, don't include obstacles that have always had one and only one solution in the past if that isn't a viable solution now! I played Arkham City! The rotating tunnels of saw blades have ALWAYS meant "Line Launcher" in the past! And if I'm good enough to get into a position to use said line launcher and I've actually got a clear path through it, then loving let me do that! Don't have Batman just randomly let go of the goddamn line in the middle of the tunnel!

That was a nice distraction.
So my computer *barely* meets the specs for this thing, but the catastrophe of the PC release means no. I can play the Harley sequence fine, no trouble, but any cinematics cause massive problems- the opening, where you're in first person, was a disaster if I dared to change where I was looking (which is required). I have no idea what happened in the non-controllable segment of it, other than there's a news report involved. I just get a series of still images whilst the audio runs wild, and can't actually use the controls most of the time.

Is there anything I can do to improve this? I can't even run it at lower res, because my computer just runs the lower res copy nested inside the default res.
