The first punter's forums epi is one of those all-time "this is crushingly sad" podcast experiences.

I know I'm not supposed to complain about an overabundance of content, but holy gently caress, slow down Wil Anderson. He dropped five new episodes (8 hours) of FOPOP on Monday, and another four (4.75 hours) today. Space 'em out a little, buddy.

Speaking of TOFOP, what is a good starting point?

I think after losing so many recordings, he's decided he can't be trusted to hold onto them and release them slowly, so he's just pumping out everything he's got.

I think the Jen Kirkman episodes are a good place to start. Start with the first one and you can see the seeds of their joint obsession with Dave Navarro's love life.

Good news cuddlahs the sadness is going to be at podfest this year. Wonder if Greg will still be alive or if Dave will just wheel out his corpse. https://twitter.com/daveanthony/status/609399724030857216

The one TOFOP episode I've heard is the one with Seth Romatelli. Good ep!

Has anyone ever listened to The Big Three podcast with the Windy City Heat folks? It was recommended by a friend, but my tiny MP3 player only holds just enough for my big trip and I'm afraid it will be garbage.

The latest TGS two-parter is pretty much just Andy Kindler making fun of Todd for 150 minutes and it owns. (There's a 30-minute intro to the second part where Todd gets all his weekly shouting out of the way but it's easily skippable)

This week's International Waters was live from MaxFunCon, and is probably one of the best episodes we've done yet! With Paul F. Tompkins, Janie Haddad-Tompkins , Nadia Kamil and Helen Zaltzman. http://www.maximumfun.org/international-waters/international-waters-episode-52-live-maxfuncon

I'm at the point with Pistol Shrimps Radio that I'm getting mad when they're chatting about some rubbish and in the background you can hear the crowd going wild about some amateur basketball and I want to know what it is. Also, ESPN recorded them? That online anywhere?

Gourley's taking over as the Dead Authors host in three episodes and based on him interviewing PFT as Mark Twain this week I'm super pumped.

So the Dead Authors Podcast will continue past 50 episodes? If so that's awesome. Sagan being uncomfortable about how Jim was written in Huck Finn was hilarious.

I looked on PFT's live dates and, besides a good amount of live Spontaneations, there's a "Roast of HG Wells" in a few months or so with returning guests.

Read the thread, he just said it's not over in the last episode. Gourley as Carl Sagan will take over as the host after ep 50.

I'm late to the party but man, the Goldfinger episode of James Bonding was a missed opportunity. There's so much stuff there to talk about and make jokes about but the guests just can't stop being shocked that James Bond is sexist and silly. I guess it's some kind of schtick?

Dead Authors is Andy Daly's second part this week, but they named it as Chapter 45 Part 2. So since last week's was 47 it appears there are still three more PFT episodes coming. If he ends up doing another ADP3 season there better be a Hubbard episode (bonus points if Gourley plays Heinlein or Jack Parsons) OR ELSE Illinois Smith fucked around with this message at 20:56 on Jun 30, 2015 |
