I can't really tell if this is satire or not. It's up there with the "crisis actor" stuff.

Yeah Poe's law is strongly in effect here. Pretty much all the lighting "inconsistencies" pointed out are completely consistent with there being a flash mounted slightly to the top right of the lens, and actually sort of debunk themselves when considered in that context. I give people from countries where the US has done some crazy conspiracy poo poo a pass on mild 9/11 truther stuff. They generally don't know much about the specifics of 9/11 but they are familiar with the specifics of some of the crazy stuff that the US has done in their country. If they just want to maintain a surface understanding (which is how we approach most things), it is pretty easy to shrug and say, "Yeah, that sounds plausible," and then move on with their lives. Full-on Truthers who make it part of their identity are a separate case, but that doesn't sound like what is going on here.

Why would it matter where the photo is taken, anyway? The background isn't important, it's the rear end in a top hat burning a flag in the foreground that matters.

Why would the inconsistencies matter, it's the guy with the flag and the moon lander that's important.

See how you can spin this to say that the faking of the moon landing isn't important?

But that doesn't follow. In the moon landing photo, the environment is very important to the picture, because it's the moon. In the "guy burning a flag" photo, the environment is extraneous; it's still a guy burning an american flag no matter where the picture was taken.

But if it was taken in a studio then it was clearly an innocent part of a stock-photo shoot wherein he was playing the fake character role of a kid burning a flag without truly meaning the sentiment in his heart, further proving that he's really an innocent and misunderstood person and this wasn't about race

LIke the crisis actor stuff, they just have to deny reality at all points. None of it has to make sense and they sure as hell aren't considering *why* the nebulous enemy would need to do it, but goshdarnit they sure are convinced.

I'm curious how many of the big conspiracy voice are mentally unstable and how many are just fleecing the gently caress out of people. There might be a handful of otherwise normal people that actually believe it, but all these site are too quick to believe any bullshit story that breaks from the mainstream. Makes me want to start throwing out crazy ideas like that page for the Charleston killings, but I'd be worried that they wouldn't see the obvious flaws and any effort to reveal the ruse would just be seen as a trick by the NWO or whatever to deceive them. It's like arguing with fundamentalists, you can't possibly win.

There's nothing you can do. I think people have tried to create fake conspiracy theory videos in the past then reveal later how fake they were to try to trap people, and the conspiracy theorists didn't actually care. They just said the person was lying about the video being a fake.

Snape killed Dumbledore? Does that really seem likely to you? We all know that the Fed has been wanting to nab the Alchemist Stone so that they could start printing off gold bars in order to shore up the failing economy, they obviously had the most to gain from Dumbledore's death. An avada kedavra curse at such close range would be easily deflected by a master wizard like Dumbledore. It just doesn't add up. I think it's clear that the CIA killed Dumbledore and set up Snape as the fall guy, and Harry Potter is in cahoots.

To be fair, PSY isn't a fan of American foreign policy and referencing the destruction of the Twin Towers isn't incongruous in a song about the hollowness of (Western) materialism rum amok.

I'm not saying that is what it was, but if it were true it wouldn't be evidence of some larger plot.

There's a difference between occasional innuendo, which kid's shows have, and the belief that the show is trying to indoctrinate kids into cuckold fetish.

People were spamming interracial porn on /pol/ and the white supremacists got really loving mad that their precious white aryan babes were being sullied by the negro, and then a bunch of it ended up being from some well-known cuckold pay site I think? It was loving stupid.

Well yeah, but basically this is no worse than accusing Rocko's Modern Life of trying to indoctrinate kids into becoming phone sex operators. The plausible part isn't the indoctrination. The plausible part is the innuendo existing in the show at all.

Claiming that a show is "indoctrinating children" is stupid in nearly all circumstances
