Release Date: September 15th, exclusively for Xbox One All-In-One Entertainment System Post your SA name and Gemertag in this spreadsheet! Gameplay additions: Forza Motorsport 6 is the first Forza to feature weather and time effects. Neither are dynamic, unfortunately, but they'll be worth it just for the ability to use pop-up headlights anyway. Also unfortunately, these won't be applicable to all race tracks, so your dream of dying spectacularly at Eau Rouge in the darkness will probably not come to fruition with this entry, although perhaps goons can reenact the greatest wet road race in history. So far, these are the only known gameplay additions, though hopefully Turn 10 listens to reason and brings back car clubs and cleans up the online distribution methods for setups and paint jobs. The cars: We can safely assume that most or all cars from Forza 5 will be returning, including DLC cars, if the 360 Forza titles are anything to go by. So far, all Turn 10 has really said regarding cars is that there are 450 of them, which is roughly equal to Forza 4 at launch. As far as all-new cars go, the new Ford GT is confirmed, and we will hopefully have a full car list within the next month or two. The cars will all have autovista, as with Forza 5. And here is a spreadsheet of every known car The tracks: Turn 10 has confirmed that all locations from Forza 5 will return. While this does mean we have to deal with Yas Marina stinking up another game, it does mean we also will definitely get Spa, Nurburgring, Le Mans and Bathurst again, which is fantastic. Adding to those amazing race tracks are Watkins Glen and Brands Hatch, entirely new to the Forza series, and for my money the best two race tracks on the planet. Daytona will be in as well (though don't expect too much from the Roval versions of it), as is a fantasy track set in Rio. Indianapolis will undergo a facelift to bring it up to date with the current layout and hopefully ditch that awful sticky grass that made oval races around it such a pain. New tracks: -Watkins Glen -Lime Rock Park -Daytona International Speedway -Rio de Janiero -Brands Hatch -Monza -Circuit of the Americas -Sonoma (returning from Forza 4) -Hockenheim (returning from Forza 4) Other poo poo: There's a Forza 6 edition Xbox One that comes with a copy of the game, so if you're like me and are new to the system, it might be worth getting. However it makes silly race car noises when you turn it on, so it's pretty tacky. The Forza edition Xbox One also does not come with the Ultimate edition. Goon racing: We mostly suck except Panda and whatcubed, and we don't take poo poo all that seriously, so if you've never raced with goons before, feel free to jump in and crash into walls or whatever. I assume that regular races will continue taking place on Wednesdays at 10pm Eastern, although spontaneous races will certainly happen when the hell ever, especially near launch. Forza rewards: Forza rewards is a system that gives you money and cars based on whether you have played past Forza titles and how much you've done in them. Reward tiers are based on things like achievements and how much DLC you've bought. Forza 6 will continue this system, and will also give you reward cars by detecting if you have played past Forza titles at all. The reward cars for having played past games are as follows: 2009 Ford Focus RS: FM4 Game Reward Car 2013 Ford Shelby GT500: FM5 Game Reward Car 2013 Ferrari LaFerrari: FM5 VIP Reward Car 2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Shelby: FH2 Game Reward Car 2011 Koenigsegg Agera: FH2 VIP Reward Car If you want to get the biggest advantage that you can, play a lot of Forza 5, Forza 4, Forza Horizon, Forza Horizon 2 and Forza Horizon 2: Fast and Furious before Forza 6 drops. Forza 2 and 3 also count for this, although not by nearly as much. Rewards are given out on a monthly basis and can be claimed any time, so you can wait until the end of the month to get the biggest reward tier you can get if you so please. DLC As with past Forza titles, this game will be given a whole shitload of DLC car packs. If you are expecting to spend a lot of time with this game, you might as well just buy the Car Pass to save some money on the DLC. However, the Car Pass only counts for monthly car packs, so some early packs and any other special ones that may come up will not be covered by it. Keep that in mind. DLC list: Ten Year Anniversary (not available for sale separately, comes with some editions of the game) Car List: 2008 Aston Martin Team Forza DBS 2013 Audi Team Forza R8 Coupé V10 plus 5.2 FSI quattro 2013 Audi Team Forza RS 7 Sportback 2012 BMW Team Forza M5 2009 Ferrari Team Forza 458 Italia 2005 Honda Team Forza NSX-R 2014 Lamborghini Team Forza Huracán LP 610-4 2013 McLaren Team Forza P1 2003 Nissan Team Forza Fairlady Z 2013 SRT Team Forza Viper GTS Fast and Furious car pack: $9.99, not included in the Car Pass Car List: 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Fast & Furious Edition 1968 Dodge Charger Fast & Furious Edition 1969 Dodge Charger Fast & Furious Edition 1970 Ford Escort RS1600 Fast & Furious Edition 2001 Honda S2000 Fast & Furious Edition 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS Fast & Furious Edition 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R Fast & Furious Edition 2002 Nissan Fairlady Z Fast & Furious Edition 2014 Terradyne Gurkha LAPV F5 Fast & Furious Edition 1995 Toyota Supra RZ Fast & Furious Edition VIP Membership: $19.99, comes with other bonuses such as double race payouts. Current Goon racing series' GTCC (Wednesdays, 9pm Eastern): Goon Touring Car Championship is the oldest Goon racing group in Forza, dating back to Forza 3. GTCC allows all assists aside from the racing line (it's ok, that stupid thing lies anyway). GTCC does not have a multi-week points system or anything of the sort, it's more of a get together and race one night a week sort of deal. GRC, the main Forza racing club from Forza 5, merged with GTCC due to the larger grids and and a collective increased interest in Forza 6. GTCC thread can be found here Send a friend request to Synmoo360 over Xbox Live to join GTCC. Me too Hopefully we have a good number of guys playing at least for the first few days, and we can spend most of the time online trying out the new tracks. Also, The Glen will probably result in a lot of trainwreck races due to no runoff room existing for 90% of the track.

So excited for this, already pre-ordered the ultimate edition. I'm such a sucker for this series. Trying to finish off the single player and get all 3,000 rewards points for 5 before the release. Maybe put something about the rewards system in the OP? I feel like 6 will have a bigger and have more players due to more people having a bone now and FH2 being so successful. I know it hasn't been officially announced but I'm assuming since clubs were in FH2 they will be back for FM6. Are we going to be GRC or LLJK? Who else gonna be playing the poo poo out of this come Sep. 10?

I'm stoked for this. Forza 5 felt lacking to me and because of that, along with being pretty busy, I never made the time to play. Hopefully Forza 6 will bring me back.

I didn't get 5 because I didn't have an Xbox One until FH2 came out, so I can't wait for this (especially Spa, since it's one of my favourite tracks).

OK so I've been looking at where to order the game and I'm a bit confused, even after looking at the spergy posts on the FM forum by ManteoMax. So it looks to me like the only way to get the Deluxe or Ultimate editions are digitally from the Xbox Store. Stores like Gamestop, Bestbuy, Amazon etc. all have only the regular version available. No big deal, BUT I must have the BMW M4 Team Forza pre-order car. Because. But this car is only available from retail store pre-order. But I can't figure out which store. Looks like Gamestop gets the STi and Amazon has the Hellcat, but which one has the M4? But even if I get that info, its still pretty much useless because I don't see the point in NOT getting the Ultimate edition, which won't have the car I want. I know in previous games, the pre-order cars are opened up for DLC purchase a few months after the game releases, but I WANT THE CAR AT RELEASE!!! I guess the only option is to buy the digital Ultimate edition, then the DLC code off loving Ebay or something. Why the gently caress wouldn't they release the Ultimate Edition at retailers so people can get the cars they want? /

Regardless they only have the regular edition. I don't see why they wouldn't at least sell the deluxe edition at retail. It's a little strange.

I'm hoping car clubs are back for this one. I don't suppose there's been any mention yet? The organized events are fine and good, but I miss the spontaneous club races.

They have not said anything about car clubs yet. They also have not said if the Forza editon Xbox One comes with the regular game or the ultimate edition, nor whether pre-ordering it gives you any of the retail pre-order cars.

GentlemanofLeisure posted:OK so I've been looking at where to order the game and I'm a bit confused, even after looking at the spergy posts on the FM forum by ManteoMax. Well, the main benefit of the ULTIMATE (DOES NOT INCLUDE EVERYTHING) Edition is the Early-access by a week which kind of puts it out of retail's realm - but yes. Preorder bonuses are retarded, and I definitely bought multiple copies of Forza 2 and 3 and 4 to ensure I got the most complete set of cars I never raced possible (while selling the extra copies at a loss.)

They haven't talked about clubs specifically for for FM6 but let's be realistic, they were back for FH2. I don't think it's much of a leap to assume they'll be back for 6.

Well now that I've read more about the Ultimate edition and the Forza-edition Xbone, I've decided to shove the idea of getting the Forza Xbone up my rear end because it doesn't come with the Ultimate Edition at all. That's kinda dumb.

Just gonna copy/paste a few things that I've seen people here asking about, and some stuff I found interesting. Source - FM6 does not have centralized storefronts but has improved the ability to track the use of your files by the community - FM6 does not have an auction house feature. - Clarkson not in...Stig's Digital Cousin is in...Richard and James continue to do voiceovers along with other "automotive celebrities" - Tokens will not be in FM6 at launch but may return as a matter of player choice - Qualifying - - - not included, but FM6 adds warm-up laps - Tag, Cat & Mouse, Bowling (obstacles), Soccer - Car ahead/distance indicators will be making a return in Forza Motorsport 6. !!! - There are no tracks with night + rain at the same time. - Sharing and Gifting cars and credits are not features in FM6 - Quicksand has been removed and interactive tire barriers added to limit corner cutting and wall riding - FM6 does not have searchable public lobbies but you can make your own and invite others ...and finally - Forza 6 will not have car clubs," but new Leagues system puts players together based on skill and temperament. Well poo poo

Just to be clear, you are aware the the M4 will be available for everyone at launch and that the preorder exclusive for some retailer is the Team Forza M4 which is a M4 with custom livery and pretuned by the devs right?

Yep. e: I feel like I should clarify myself. The reason I'm upset is because in the previous versions of Forza, the brick and mortar stores sold the "best?" version of the game, Ultimate Edition, and you had a chance to get whichever pre-order car you preferred by purchasing at the right vendor. For FM6, from what they've announced so far, you can only get the Ultimate Edition by pre-ordering through the Xbox Store. But you can't get this version with any of the Team Forza pre-order cars. You can only get the BMW M4 Team Forza (or whichever of the other 4 Team Forza pre-order cars) by purchasing from a brick and mortar store. The kicker is that these stores don't have the Ultimate Edition, only the "worst?" version of the game with the least perks. I know I'm being Spergy and Awful, but why make it an issue at all? How hard would it be for them to include a code with the Ultimate Edition, send to your e-mail, that's good for a Team Forza car of your choice? Is there a list of retailers who have preorders open for the limited console with the pretty controller and tacky sound effects? In Europe I have seen Zavvi carrying it, but no one else so far.

I dont like ahead/behind indicators. I think people should have to actually look to see if a car is catching them as a gameplay mechanism. With the occasional radio call from the pit lane with split times, or even a dynamic pit board.

The only thing I wish is that it had a San Francisco Rush-style radar instead to remove any question of exactly where the other guy is in relation to you.

In which case the proximity meters are ONLY used to tell that some dumb gently caress is trying to pass you on a corner that has no passing opportunities and he's 1 meter away from your right rear door trying to dive down the inside through your blind spot. Which is their only use now, no one uses them to avoid having to look behind them or whatever this story is.

Ether Frenzy posted:Which is their only use now, no one uses them to avoid having to look behind them or whatever this story is. Not really. For example, they can be useful in really slow corners at the end of a long straight; if you see that the guy behind you is gaining a lot more ground a lot faster than he should, it means he is going to miss the turn. I do swing the camera around at that point to see where I need to go to dodge, but without the proximity indicators I wouldn't know that some guy is flying in at 50MPH faster than the turn requires. This is especially useful at places like Road America and Sebring.

Ether Frenzy posted:The game should be locked in cockpit mode only, is what you're saying. Both you and cubevore confused what i meant, i guess i didnt articulate it properly. I'm all for proximity arrows to help situational awareness. I was talking about the unnamed GUI feature confirmed to return in forza 6 telling you the distance to the nearest car in the side bar, usually in meters or possibly feet. Nothing to do with proximity arrows.

I only race in cockpit mode so I'm acutely aware of the mirror because it's the only real method of situational awareness + the distance meter if you're using a wheel, because there is no thumbstick look functionality on wheels. If you're just saying you don't like the boring numbers rather than something a bit more in-character (arrows or whatever) well, that's like, your opinion man, and you're welcome to it because I'm an advocate of immersion. But Generic Arrow pointing left doesn't convey 'hey there's a car 3 feet away from you don't do anything weird' quite as immediately as "Distance to enemy Jaguar: 1 meter"
