I hope this gets fixed soon, I want to see where I rank on these challenge maps. I got something like 20 rival points on the azrael challenge map.

20 seems to be the maximum you can get on any of these maps, I got over 400,000 on the Azrael one and I got 20 too.

Sorry, guy.
These loving APC chases are awful. Sometimes the APC can just stay at range despite amazing maneuvering on my behalf and the slight angle change and the Immobilator loses lock and they just last for like 10 minutes of me trying to get in range.

Cut corners then. The APCs don't instantly lose you if you go in other directions like in a lot of games.

I actually enjoyed that a lot. I want more chases that last a while. It's the best part of using the Batmobile.

Yeah. It's not always challenging. But what I'm complaining about is when you're on a straight away, (like in a tunnel) hitting turbo and the APC is magically still faster than you. It's just some cheap code (at times.)

I enjoy them too. When they don't cheat. Which is about 50/50 it seems like.

The sideswipe crashes are really well expressed.

Is there a list of all riddler challenges and stuff already? Non-youtube preferably?

People having issues controlling the batmobile might want to try using the bumper view. Sure you miss the graphics of the battank but your ability to gauge speed, distance, and how hard to go into a turn are all superior when compared to behind the car view.

I've tried each riddler challenge in both modes, and my bumper view times are always better.

Spite
Jul 27, 2001

Small chance of that...
What I found with the bat mobile is that you can basically do 90 degree turns if you tap the brake to power slide instead of holding it down. Tap the brake, maybe let off the gas a bit and it's really easy to follow just about everything. Also you can do the dodge move while chasing things to make small corrections.

Also power sliding refills your afterburner, if you're chasing someone you should always be sliding around corners.

Sliding through corners, I think you meant. And parked cars. And pedestrians. And support columns.

Yes.

When Batman died in the comics Jim Gordon had to become Robo-Batman instead of just being a policeman.

Don't think so, it'll just trigger your OCD since you'll be stuck at one less than the maximum for the capacity of the High Security Lock up, but it's not tied to any achievements or progress

Isn't the game expecting you to ram the escorts when the APC surges ahead? Once they are dead it's always easy to catch.

Oh the Escorts are long gone. Occasionally (twice, maybe 3 times out of about 6 APC chases so far) there are instances where the APC gets about 300 meters ahead or so and just matches speed (even to my boost) and it won't get close enough to lock on. I'm pretty sure it's NOT expected/intended behavior. Restarting it (or playing a 10 minute chase of doing nothing but trying to get close enough to land hits) usually resolves it.

Probably be better with Batman gone. I can't imagine any evidence Batman submits or even could theoretically have had access to is admissible.

Nah, Bats has a Dr. McNinja thing going on. What he does is technically illegal, but the Gotham legal system has more or less acknowledged that they'd have to be legitimately brain damaged to turn away his help, so they overlook the fact that they probably shouldn't be using evidence given to them by a guy in a mask.

While I'm kvetching about Batman, I really hate how the saving operates. Do a couple side missions... have a bunch of skill points. Allocate them. Die on a side mission... redo all those missions and have to reallocate all your points.

Very dumb.

Huh? The game saves after almost everything you do. If you've done a bunch of sidequests you shouldn't be losing progress.

It does not save after you allocate upgrade points, so if you die before the next mission or during a fight on the way to the next one you do have to re-allocate.

I'll do you one better. I allocated points. Then beat an APC. Then died in a Campaign for Disarmament mission and it didn't save.

it does stuff like that all the time.
