More people watched Teen Titans than read DC comics these days.

absolutely - comic readership is bizarrely low when you look at the numbers. i guess the reason they still make them is because the people who do read them have tons of disposable income and are reeeeeally into them. i guess by 'comics' i mean all the stuff that wasn't internationally popular amongst both kids and adults, which i guess in my infinite, shameless self awareness can be boiled down to 'the poo poo i watched as a kid'

also not that i'm scoring points but while i've heard good things about teen titans i doubt it's the classic that the animated series is, and i'm reliably informed that smallville and arrow are dreck that i will likely never watch. probably still better than 'Gotham' though fwiw

i hope this beats the documentaries about moss. shame i already spent my audible credit for this month though :(

Arkham Slade is really lame compared to Teen Titans Slade.

He's not even voiced by Ron Perlman, so what's the point?

The worst thing is ENDING SPOILERS he busts his rear end pumping out all these top-tier new gadgets. The disruptor and the second Batmobile are still prototypes at the start of the game. And then at the end of the game, his big thanks is Bruce Wayne exploding himself and ostensibly closing down the entire company, which I would imagine leaves Lucius out of a job.

Considering that the game is still unavailable to purchase for PC on Steam (among others), no, no it is not fixed. The first minor patch just went through the other day. There's a whole laundry list of things they have yet to tackle.

I have never heard of that sight. I got the premium edition for 35$ at Kinguin, which I assumed was legit since they sponsor esports poo poo and Twitch streamers.

The PC version was playable for me after I reinstalled it and updated my drivers. There were still some tiny bugs, but nothing that made me have to stop playing. I haven't played since the new patch since I had beaten the main story by then.

I'm sure there will be no negative repercussions of throwing a law enforcement agent in a cell full of criminals, let alone one who tried to murder him in this same game.

e: I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the environment design in this game. While every area is detailed to the point of being fairly visually busy, it remains really playable. It's especially apparent in the open world where seeing the burning fire stations is as easy as following the smoke, and even chasing man-bat with no objective marker or detective mode is perfectly doable. Character design... a little less consistent but still overall good. Arkham Knight is such a lame villain (apart from his title pretty much being Leader Of The Mooks I find it hard to be impressed by someone who gets so obviously angsty and pissy whenever his plans are foiled, which is All The Time) but his character design is pretty dece. Scarecrow looks less cartoony than the other games but it works. Shame the character is woefully underused and delivers far too many lovely monologues, which is what a grand total of no people wanted after seeing him tear poo poo up in asylum.

Actually, piecing things together, I think that might be what the Arkham Knight is- an obnoxious, whining, entitled voice talking over all of your actions, asserting its supreriority, and complaining when things don't work out for it (which they never do).

I love Troy Baker and his voice, but him voicing the Arkham Knight is really annoying because it's like the same voice he's been doing for a while, but with a filter over it. Like you could've had literally anyone else voice this character, I don't know what about his audition was special over other actors, but it can't have been that much better than anyone else's.

Interesting to hear that black mask got shat on for the sake of a plot twist; the same thing happened in the red hood film I remember seeing. Crown for directly transplanting a plot twist from that obviously goes to Knight though. I wonder what the thought process behind the 'character' of arkham knight was - no one who's just played the games or watched the movies is going to know who jason todd is, and anyone who's even passingly familiar with the less popular Batman works is going to call it instantly. It says a lot about how bad your twist is when the worst instincts of comic book fans, that is to predict a character that looks superficially similar to another is going to have the exact same plot twists, are right on the money. probably wouldn't be so bad if they didn't try and build up the intrigue in the marketing

Here are some panels from the Under the Hood Comic the movie was based on. Black Mask is kind of hilarious.
