"Cuntish" became a favourite adjective of mine after I read The Commitments.

Granted, that's set in Ireland, not Britain, but it's the same island.

What's really annoying is that any time he sees criticism of the art anywhere Ryan North just defends his lovely artist by going "Oh, because Squirrel Girl isn't conventionally beautiful you think the art's bad, huh? Stop reading my comic, SEXIST."

LawfulWaffle

Well, that aligns with the vibes I was getting. Which was, like, "normal" kinda vibes.
Just got caught up with the thread. There have been some quality funny panels posted, and I have learned a lot about the DC and Marvel universes, so I want to thank all the stellar posters out there that made this a reality.

Are there any funny Transmetropolitan panels? I read through the series years ago and my collection is a husk of it's former glory thanks to my shoddy lending habits. I remember that Transmet was funny, but I don't know if too "monkey cheese" for the refined tastes of BBS.

I never got into any of the superhero arcs, which is why I liked reading through this thread. I stuck mostly with Sandman, Transmet, Preacher, and Hellblazer, so my knowledge of the DC heroes were colored by their representations far from their native ground. Like this three page set (I wish I could find the individual pages a little bigger):

It took a long time for me to figure out who Scott Free/Mr. Miracle was, but the preceding pages show Granny Goodness's training facility and plenty of dead people. Then I am introduced to the Martian Manhunter, who is both afraid of fire and loves Oreos. I think MM's love of Oreos is a great bit of characterization, and I smile every time it's brought up. JL8 has a cute page where J'onn J'onzz discovers them at Diana's birthday party.

Yeah it'd be way better if he poo poo on his collaborator and partner because some internet people don't like them

Squirrel Girl is a great step away from usual comics and is fantastic and special, and I doubted it very strongly before it came out.

I like the Squirrel Girl art a lot and think it's very fitting for the content.

I wouldn't want Henderson on any just book (though I can only think of one or two who are adaptable for just about anything - Stuart Immonen comes to mind immediately), but there's also few artists I think I'd rather have on Squirrel Girl.
