Scott Walker : A series of unfortunate events.

Its such a strange thing that he won 3 times in a row, he's a terrible public speaker, he has no real deep understanding of economics, and is basically the Smiler from Warren Ellis's Transmetropolitan.

Walker is frightening.

Both the "everyone without a degree is a simpleton" and "higher education is entirely a rich kid daycare at the undergraduate level" are gross oversimplifications, but in either case they are a red herring, because Walker is an idiot independent of his credentials.

He really is the worse candidate, and that's why he needs to be tarnished and libeled, I don't really give a drat about touchy-feely Democrats this election wanting to kumbaya with Republicans, these people have to be stopped and told to sit the gently caress down.

We'll see what happens when they get out of the primaries and into the general, but at the moment we're square in the "give them enough rope to hang themselves with" phase.

I just think he's a functional sociopath, the idea that all sociopaths are intelligent is kind of a urban myth. Most have average or below average intelligence. What they excel at is manipulation. So no I don't think he's a idiot, I think he's a function sociopath who's desire to hold power has led him to openly agreeing to any back room deal and using any tactic necessary to gain power.

I think the comparison with Nixon is appropriate.

This is the key point. There is no use wasting a minute of time on his college background when you can simply just discuss any of his many lovely policies or failures. He's a complete moron and hopefully being on the national stage will force him to actually answer a loving question, or at least make him squirm in front of a huge audience.

I don't, because for all his many, many personal failings, Nixon was incredibly well-read and sought always to be as well informed as he could on whatever he was dealing with (largely as he resented northeastern bluebloods looking down their nose at him), even if he then went on to do something despicable and paranoid.

Opponents should and likely will (if he makes it to the general, few if any of his GOP opponents are going to call out his record), but I think it holds at least a little water. Not a major line of attack, but remember we're in a campaign where there's already been a week-long :airquote: scandal :airquote: based on where Hillary stopped to get lunch one day. A SuperPAC attack ad sniping him with it could get in a decent zinger with the Gen-X/Millineal crowd.

"You worked for years to get a degree, put yourself into tens of thousands of dollars of debt and the promise of a good job turned out to be working in the mail room for a dollar over minimum wage. Everything you apply for wants a Master's plus 2-6 years industry experience. This slack-jawed idiot dropped out and has never held a real job in his life. He thinks he should be President. Shouldn't you expect a President who's the best this country can offer, rather than someone who's dumber and less experienced than you are?"

Not the best, but it could get traction.

To me, it's not that he left college. It's that he left to start his political career.

He lost the one thing he was in college for (to be SBP), so he dropped out and ran for another office in the State House.

I would prefer a candidate with some living experience and accomplishment outside getting elected. At least Obama was a law prof and Hillary was a lawyer and Sanders built bongs or whatever you do for a living in VT. He apparently had some Red Cross job in college, but he specifically left to run for something.

What did you learn about the natives?

I couldn’t find one guy who said that he was framed. They all acknowledged their guilt but argued that they were the small fry. They believe that the real criminals are not only part of the system, they are running the system, and, in fact, that they are the system and that, at its highest level, America is a crime syndicate.

You are a criminal, literally, and you’ve also said that your own prosecution was politically motivated. It sounds as if your worldview was actually quite similar to that of your neighbors.

Pretty much. Nixon spent his whole life busting his rear end in order to get what he wanted, and I know that if he were alive today at the very least he'd have nothing but contempt for people like Sarah Palin and Scott Walker who have literally done nothing to get where they are.
