I don't know, it seems like a full 30 minute episode would be more likely on the Disney Channel than it would be on other networks. Aren't all their ads just first party Disney stuff? I have no idea how that works out as a business model.

Both Disney Channel and Disney XD have no advertising. All their shows tend to still have ad slots so they can broadcast them on other networks later, but all the Disney ads are just promos for their own properties.

30 minutes does seem to be a strange running time for an episode. Most of the time when an episode has a special running time, they're basically just twice as long as a normal episode, but in this case it's just 8 minutes more.

Maybe there's a boatload of complex plot they need to get through in one chunk. Maybe the next episode won't be until 2016 and they don't want people to have to wait on the cliffhanger for longer than necessary. Maybe the season is being unexpectedly cut short so they're cramming two episodes of content into one.

I meant whenever the show gets a regular schedule, with each episode coming out a set amount of time after the previous one. It seems that when episodes aren't months apart, they seem to be three weeks apart : episode 10 and 11, and now episode 12, 13 and 14.

I am super psyched for new Gravity Falls. The DS game had better be great too! Kind of hoping Disney Infinity makes a playset for this show. Also, has anyone watched Star vs The Forces of Evil? I have only seen a few episodes, but it's okay, not great.

May be a good adventure/platform game that uses the DS features in a unique and innovative way. Equally it could just be a total cash-in. I have faith in Ubisoft considering that the last two Rayman games are the best platformers made by a company not named Nintendo. I have hope, but I'm kind of hoping it will be lovely since I don't want to buy a 3DS for just one game.
