I agree. I spent half an hour today trying to write a tutorial on probability for a class I'm TAing trying to come up with non-gambling questions before going "gently caress it" and just deciding to teach them how to play and analyze the odds of craps.

I only have a basic understanding on how betting works in mma. I've never looked in to doing it for real because I know that if I ever won big, I'd end up losing all my savings. Plus I have no idea how it works in my state. But I like to make silly bets with my casual watching friends. I put $50 on Mendes. Happy to be a part of something silly with you guys.

I went through the last couple pages and added up all the money people have either directly on mendes or as a parley that includes mendes. 1,530 on Mendes not counting the sign up bonuses people got. Biafraid was the only soul to bet on Conor. He put down 20 bucks. Also I did this in like 5 minutes, so I may have missed some bets.

Most bookies including mine lay off their big bets so there isn't that big of a risk. His profit comes mostly from the vigs and payment plans. My bookie has a guy who probably owes him close to or just over 6 figures and he is on what seems like a permanent payment plan because I know he is still making bets with him. Also find a bookie that is connected to a circle of people like a poker group or pool hall or even a regular at a casino or horse track. They will most likely be old school guys who wouldn't risk getting black balled at these places for not paying up. It's going to be a crazy night for me I finally have a reason to drink my Glenlivit 21 I got for my birthday a couple of years ago. I figure it's already an expensive night might as well get wasted on a $150 bottle of scotch to either celebrate or watch my money burn. Good luck everyone.!

There's a lot of good underdog bets in this card. Stephens is a live dog, I think. Bermudez is good, but I think he's only about the level of A Stephens caliber fighter. He relies pretty heavily on his wrestling to win fights, but I think he's going to have a pretty hard time grappling with Stephens. I've also got Seery, Lawler, and Mendes.

I'm not sold at Stephens as a live dog at all. Came in heavy and tends to look like poo poo against good competition. I mean Stephens can knock anyone out at any point in a fight so he's got that going for him, but I'm not interested at the current odds.
