Trump says multiple times in his recent speech that he's going to file his financial disclosure next week. I really hope he follows through, if just to see how Fox tries to screen him out of the debate next.

Trump wants to build artificial island bases in the South China Sea and charge a $100,000 fee to the Mexican government per undocumented immigrant. ISIS is one of his major competitors in the hotel business.
He will also repeal PPACA and replace it with a national health care system.

You can't condense the speech into a highlight reel, the entire thing was a highlight reel.

Naw, while they do have money up there they tend to be more educated and liberal, surprisingly. All the old folks in Phoenix are exactly Trump's type - they actually don't have a lot of money but like to pretend they do. Most of them are retirees from flyover states or the east coast. I think the only way the GOP can defeat him is claim that his support for "taking care of everyone" with the "sorry, conservatives" line makes him a socialist non-conservative, and then hope he doubles down on it like with immigration and alienates enough of the base.

So what are the chances that Trump actually spends his money to build campaign infrastructure in the early primary/caucus states and pay for ads like a normal politician would? He is rich enough to build a real campaign if he wanted to, but I'm not sure that's his goal here.

Yeah, the GOP establishment needs to start saying that Trump's healthcare plan is "worse than Obamacare" and that would probably at least stifle his momentum.

Looks like he's actually doing it:

quote:

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire—Maybe money can't buy happiness, but it sure can buy the framework of a presidential campaign.

Just ask Donald Trump. The real-estate developer-turned reality TV star has never formally run for political office before, yet has put together a New Hampshire operation using a pretty simple plan: purchasing one off the shelf, in this case by hiring top staff away from Koch brothers-backed Americans for Prosperity.

I pray that Trump gets a surge from the idiots from this, I want the Republicans to have their nose pushed in the poo poo pile they made for a little long, and nothing perfectly does that like having to deal with a mainstream candidate who's taken their rhetoric to the endgame of "NO, NO, gently caress THOSE MEXICANS AND I'LL KICK CHINA'S rear end AND EVERYONE IS GONNA SUCK MY DICK OR GET BLOWN UP BECAUSE WE'RE THE BEST"

Just because they worked for the Koch brothers, doesn't mean they got results for the Koch brothers. Their fortune and desire to purchase the entire American political system is terrifying, but they haven't always actually gotten electoral wins out of it.

Donald is the Rick Santorum of 2016 much like Bernie Sanders is the Ron Paul of 2016. Both are fringe candidates who would lose a general election but have a bunch of supporters who care more about ideological purity than actually winning. Trump is great because he's farting in the GOP's face and they can't do anything about it while simultaneously being quite possibly the single most unelectable candidate who has ever run for president.
