Well, lewtt is like the king of the order rushing for greatness, which pretty much just disproves all your thoughts. Essentially, his order is giving him a whole ton of might/stamina/%hp, and a small amount of other stats from chapels. His class development hasn't suffered, because those sparks are independent of the ones he is using on the atlas. poo poo you're unlocking on the atlas in the context of 1 week is not going to turn you to poo poo. No idea what exactly he is using for gear, but in general that isn't going to turn you from suck to hero. The biggest thing that is going to make someone terrible is not having basic class abilities and no weapon at all, and those aren't from "mixmaxed prestige", they're from someone just unlocking the class and jumping into a dungeon to get carried.

In fact, I think he unlocked slayer this week and has been blowing stuff up with that, which pretty much just shows that he wasn't really put in a bad spot on the atlas. Also, you're going to want those greatness nodes anyways because sooner or later your order will get that high. His points about being able to start getting various one per two day item drops is legitimate.

you get greatness nodes so you can get big prestige from the might and stamina bonuses on your temples, which are both used for every single class. the alternative to greatness stacking was running down a path to unlock a different class, which was pretty obviously preferable if you wanted another class. If you didn't at the time (like me), then there wasn't really a penalty to minmaxing prestige.

most perks n stuff are class spark specific, so there's not really a way to minmax that so you might as well just get what is good. The route I took for greatness nodes got me the passive ability nodes in the big AA that I wanted anyway (ultimate strength, lucky shot, and maximum recoil)

as for gear use, i keep the highest prestige gear I have in my inventory but i equip the poo poo that is better, ie founder's gear. The only time I ever put on the high prestige gear is when I need to hit another prestige breakpoint

in the end though, it's just picking which content you want to see and farm up earlier: currencies or classes. everyone who hits their weekly caps will get both sooner or later

When I was below 2k prestige it seemed like I got x2 and x3 bonus missions all the time, now I don't get them very often. Is there some logic to it?

Edit: Also, do the regions ever reset to being normal sparks rather than replicators, after you've done them once? They seemed a decent source of sparks.

Oh, let's break it down!

Right now I am enjoying Necromancer. I have it at 5500~ prestige. I have considered getting Archer and Kinetic also, but all three of those are DPS classes. I am wondering for those of you who are high prestige right now is there a need for constant role switching? ie; DPS to tank, DPS to support.. that sort of thing? Or is this game 100% doable as nothing but DPS? Also is there any benefit to having multiple DPS classes? I assume just the class symbol?

Not having this issue with multiple monitors. Are you running Fullscreen? Windowed? Windowed FS?

Fullscreen and Windowed Fullscreen keep snapping to the right, windowed sorta works if I manually set the rez and then drag the window over.

This is part of the announcement of the first large content patch that hit Skyforge in glorious motherland (:ussr:) in May. This is not a direct translation, more like a mix between a translation ad a summary of the announcement plus stuff from a more detailed article about the feature.

I will translate more in the future, but for now here's text about becoming Zeus.

quote:

God form

God form is now available in the game. To unlock it, the player must complete a story mission and receive a special crystal that will have to be used to unlock the god form in your atlas. After that you will gain access to the divine atlas. You will be able to pick the appearance of your god form, there are three choices from the start and eventually there will be more, but it will be difficult to get them. I am not sure if appearance is cosmetic, or has an effect on the gameplay. Turning into a god happens due to the certain events in adventures (meeting monsters in Distortions, attack of an avatar (i don't know what that is), or Pantheon wars), or by spending the accumulated faith of followers.

i posted this before. It's not from the announcement, but one of the forms is featured in it, so i'm pretty sure that's the 3 forms

God form will allow players who mastered several classes to switch them in combat. All classes are separated into five groups: Tanks, Mages, Support, Ranged, Warriors. Each class group has it's own ultimate ability for the god form.

When a character turns into their god form, they become twice as large, their movement speed, attack range and damage go up by a lot, and instead of running and jumping they start to levitate. The health of the character goes up eight times and they become nigh invulnerable to regular attacks. On the other hand, gods regenerate much slower than regular immortals. If a god is defeated, they revert back to their normal state.

The god form is supposed to be so powerful that the devs call using it when there are no other god-level entities around to fight you a "legal cheat".

Class groups:

Tanks: Paladin Knight

Mages: Cryomancer Necromancer Witch Kineticist

Support: Lightbinder Alchemist

Ranged: Archer Gunner

Warrior: Slayer Berserker Monk

Each class group has an access to an extremely powerful ultimate ability that has a huge range and effect and can turn the tide of a battle.

The ultimate ability of tanks is God's Presence. It creates a black hole above the god. It sucks in the enemies, growing in size, and eventually explodes, doing damage and throwing the victims everywhere.

The ultimate ability of mages is God's Rule. It creates an expanding tornado that strikes everything in it's center with powerful magical lightning. After a few seconds the enemies will be trapped in a storm raining down electric bolts.

The ultimate ability of supports is God's Army. Temporarily makes the god invincible and increases his damage. The god can spread this effect to their allies with a beam of light.

The ultimate ability of ranged is God's Wrath. The god sends a bolt of lightning up into the sky. For several seconds it strikes down, doing increasing amounts of damage to every enemy nearby. When the duration runs out, a powerful explosion happens at the place that was being stricken by the lightning.

The ultimate ability of warriors is God's Might. The god turns into a deadly wave of fire and moves at their enemy, bulldozing all that stand in their path.

Apart from these ultimates, all gods have 3 special abilities that are used outside of god form and expend the faith of ther followers:

"Divine healing" - restores the character's health. There are no healers in Skyforge, which makes this ability very valuable in really tough fights.

"Willpower" - removes all CC and gives immunity to incoming CC for a few seconds.

"God form" - allows you to assume your god form for a few minutes.

i tihnk this might be the black hole thing

God specialisations

After it becomes clear what activities you can do the best and like the most, you will be able to choose specialisations. There are six total, and they are unlocked through the divine atlas. Your choice will determine what ingame actions will give you certain bonuses. A God of Wandering will go through solo adventures and open zones, A God of Hunt is best in one on one combat - against a boss or another immortal. Mass fights and PvP arenas are the place for a God of War, and the PvE battles against the invasion forces - for a God of Protection. And, finally, a God of Knowledge will masterfully create new items and a God of Authority will be a wise leader to his cult and adepts. In the future the god advancement will continue, opening even more paths.

Divine atlas

Divine atlas is unlocked through regular atlas, and contains nodes that will improve the divine abilities of the god form. For battling the creatures of the new invasions, heroes will receive special resources that will allow them to unlock new nodes, increasing damage, reducing cooldowns, developing immunities to CC effects, and more.

Divine quest

A hero who attained god form has to prove his worth. Immortals who have their god form can, once a week, visit the Park and take a mission to fight a powerful monster side by side with several regular immortals. These fights happen near special altars in open zones. During the fight you can pick up sparks that will allow you to temporarily recieve god powers. This adventure will give significant rewards to every participant, and some additional faith points for the god.

Yeah, Monk is around 9 of those large grid circles away from the start, Berserker is 11. Archer, Slayer, Kinetic and Necromancer are 6.

You can't take the shortest path to Monk before you start doing distortions, so it's actually 11 clusters. The nodes around monk and in the cluster before are also quite expensive; Berserker as well, but less so. And both Slayer and Archer are pretty much on the way to Berserker, whereas only Necromancer is on the way to Monk.

On the other hand, necromancer is the master class and is worth getting, and it's actually pretty close to archer too, so I'd imagine it's just a longer path to get to berserker but still relatively quick with lots of class unlocks along the way.

Oh, let's break it down!

Pros and cons of playing Necromancer:

Pros:
- You can't die easily, if at all

Cons:
- If your party is bad (most people), you can't die easily, if at all..which leaves you trying to solo bosses with piddly necro dps (compared to other dps classes) when your team inevitably stands in the fire.

This is fun as heck, but grouping with 2 other DPS and watching everyone, but yourself die is tiresome in 3 mans.

Moral of the story? Solo poo poo.

Since I like group play..I might have to consider a tank/support class for when I don't want to solo.

If you're the last one alive and you can't kill the boss within a minute or two you should just let yourself die, tbh.

Necro can bring the utility of providing meatwalls and eating damage for other players that other dps can't, though, which is where you can shine in group play. They probably should do more damage than they do now, though.
