I remember when I had to talk my friend out of buying bitcoins back when they were about $1000 a pop because of some loving idiot on the radio show he listens to often (p. sure it was coast to coast) advocating everybody should buy them because currency of the future! I grappled with him for about half an hour not to buy one before he finally complied. Next week they crashed and the same guy was on the same radio show again advocating everybody should still buy bitcoins but the host kept bringing up the fact the value dropped like a rock. Felt pretty smug for saving my friend a couple hundred dollars. Even more so when the guy advocating that buying bitcoins is a good idea
