This is cool. Very Carpenter Brut-ish.

Just a little over a month left until I get to see Perturbator + Gost + Dan Terminus live here.

Season 2 is considerably weirder than season 1 so far.

Also having apple music makes finding this stuff way easier than pandora. Pandora has Kavinsky and that's about it.

You really need Bandcamp for this sort of stuff. The ability to follow fans makes it fun to explore also.

Spotify has tons of this stuff. There are a few good playlists people have made, but I am working on my own. One of the playlists just adds entire albums, the other one only has 100 songs.

According to his Facebook, Protector 101, as had other artists, had been approached by Dreamworks to do a project in their "Classic Media" division, which holds the rights to stuff like VOLTRON and Masters Of The Universe. Unfortunately, they went with another composer, but he has said that he has music related to the project that he can release soon.

I still stick to Youtube channels like Maniac Synth, New Retro Wave, and Luigi Donatello

Spotify has the bigger guys who've been able to crossover a bit, but most of the obscure stuff is still hidden on Youtube

Seems like Google All Access has a lot of the smaller and more obscure stuff. More often than not I can surf bandcamp, find something, and punch it into Google Music and it will be there waiting.

sorry, i don't know if this is naive on my part but i was hoping, way back in 2013 that this could be a thread for retrowave music, which was largely unnoticed and unappreciated and one of the great sources of this music was maniacsynth. a lot of people contributed music from this channel and the idea that it is now gone is loving horrible to me. there isn't much i can do about it, but im still thankful for everyone who has contributed something.

First time I hear about Maniac Synth, I just went down the bandcamp rabbit hole for my music needs. Still listening to Gost's Behemoth, don't think there's been a new "big" album released in the past months.

e: yeah that betamaxx album is p good

I love Gost from earlier in the thread. link your favourite songs by all means. I hope everyone is enjoying betamaxx's album. I've had it going for ages and it's terrific.

But seriously, after a while all Retro Wave starts to sound the same. The really good stuff is what stands out but most of it is just rehashing.
