I remember thinking how stupid it was that Tom Cruise had a big advantage in War of the Worlds because he was the only person out of thousands and thousands who had thought to grab a gun. Even if he was in New York, it was stupid. Great film though. Pictured, the A-12 spy plane which is likely what is behind the Area 51 cover up

Reagan worship is loving hilarious. The dude only gave a poo poo about deregulation, privatization and an arms race. The only people that love Reagan are either comically evil, or have difficulty tying their own shoes. He openly despised Medicare (speaking out against it in the 60s), but was kindly looking enough for old people to forget that he didn't give a poo poo about them. Reagan was a piece of poo poo and I'm glad he's dead.

He looks like the type of guy who has escaped those very same consequences. So Japan seems to be cool with their high schools girls moonlighting as prostitutes. Bonus for comments with weeabos being angry at Vice for disparaging the superior Nipponese culture.

Rand alPaul posted:Speaking of Japan: From https://tentativeplantscientist.wordpress.com/2014/08/11/fasciation/ "Artificially Induced Fasciation In some cases fasciation is seen as a desirable characteristic, it can lead to increased yield in crops due to the enlarged heads, or provide a talking point in ornamental displays. Examples are the maize, Celosia cristata and Asplenium cristata (note the species name ‘cristata’ – cristate is another word for fasciation). To this end, the above conditions can be induced or one of the following methods used: Manipulating the photoperiod (exposure to light) Using susceptible cultivars (see below) Using radiation – gamma rays or ionizing x-rays. Chemical application – growth regulators or polyploidzing agents A cutting or scion taken from a fasciated plant will create a new fasciated plant"

http://www.stripes.com/news/us/army-to-recruiters-treat-armed-citizens-as-security-threat-1.359134 quote:The Army has warned its recruiters to treat the gun-toting civilians gathering at centers across the country in the wake of the Chattanooga, Tenn., shooting as a security threat. Soldiers should avoid anyone standing outside the recruiting centers attempting to offer protection and report them to local law enforcement and the command if they feel threatened, according to a U.S. Army Recruiting Command policy letter issued Monday. Armed citizens — some associated with activist groups and militias — were standing vigil outside recruiting centers in Wisconsin, Georgia, Tennessee, Idaho and elsewhere this week, saying they want to provide protection to servicemembers barred from carrying firearms on duty. Four Marines and a sailor were killed by Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez, a 24-year-old Kuwait-born native of Tennessee, during an attack Thursday on a strip mall recruiting center and a Navy facility that is being investigated as an act of terrorism.
