I was just about to say that he was dropping major hints in his interviews yesterday that he's going to try something from a way out.

60-90 seconds today would put sky on edge and make the next two days far more interesting

Lucky for sky that Trek and Giant are working for their gc riders otherwise they'd be chasing everything today.

Yeah lots of teams putting men on the front protecting top 10 GC positions at the moment, which is making Sky's life easier. Movistar and Tinkoff both have men in the break, though, so this could get interesting. They have to try something early.

Grimey Drawer
Why Pinot? He's not even the leading Frenchman.

I mean, he's on his own so they can more easily shove a camera in his face/pedals/arse, but is that meant to be interesting to someone?

edit 2- Oh, he's not any more.

6 minutes down, they wont bother chasing him since hes not a threat to Froome. He might be a threat to Valverde though.

Froome looks a bit vulnerable today.

doesn't matter much since everyone else are obviously fighting for second at this point. i mean, movistar especially are not even pretending to go for the win, but noone else are doing much that's useful for actually winning the race rather than getting a podium or whatever either

You think? I'm quite impressed, seems to me like he's much more relaxed about letting the other contenders scrap and shut each other down than he was when he was chasing every attack in 2013.
