I considered sex just part of the whole deal, throughout history.

I think loving Gephardt got second in our precinct. I assume that strategy and overall demographic persisted in later primaries and it resulted in, well, Kerry. Though to be fair the entire line up was pretty thin that cycle.

I thought the poorest legislator was actually Biden (even he was clearing north of 90k) When you google Bernie Sanders net worth you get $330,507, which makes him just about the poorest US senator. It really isn't much, some people have more equity in their house. Mitt Romney makes more than that per speech. So Bernie isn't really poor but he certainly is not rich.

Chokes McGee posted:This is a microcosm for what happens when mutual destruction as a strategy breaks down. Walkers beating him in Iowa, that good enough reason to target him. I know some people think the polls are a joke, that people hang up the phone and say "Hey Martha, I just told this stupid poll guy I would vote for Trump, isn't that a hoot". The problem is that a growing percentage of the US population has a Raging Hardon and wants to take all career politicians to the prison shower for a round of "stop whimpering and pretend you love this". The frightening thing is these people vote. These people voted in a republican majority in congress. A Congress that is doing basically doing nothing because it might effect their chances at the white house, and these people are a little pissed. So a guy runs for office on a "politicians are all idiots", and "I can't be bought" campaign, and these people think "hey this would really piss off the douche bags that are currently in office" so they vote for him. The threat of Trump getting the non-ironic nomination is real. It all depends on how many of these pissed off people there are.

As a BDSM metaphor, the first one would be admissible if "Dildonald" were respecting their safeword, or if the submissive didn't perceive the need to use it in the first place. I actually think the latter case would've made the analogy better. The second example is a prison rape joke, and those are never funny. Rape is rape, regardless of where or to whom it's happening.
