I don't find RPGs or most 100% runs interesting, or most open world type games like gta/saint's row/batman. However, I still recognize that a lot of people do, so it makes sense that in a marathon dedicated to speedrunning as a whole and raising money for charity that they want to have a variety of runs to give something to almost anyone and raise more money. So I'll just go watch something I missed for reasons like sleep or work, and let those people enjoy what they enjoy. And donate.

Wait, why would you time your run on internal clocks when a significant strategy is exiting and reloading? That seems kind of bass ackward.

I haven't really been watching the run, but it sounds kind of like another game that they force cap at 60fps since higher fps makes them go faster and you can get into a race of who has a better CPU for load times. Running just the in-game timer ignores how fast your computer can restart the game.
