the plot in eo3 was actually really neat, and i hope they just give you a set party with dialogue instead of making up a new plot.

All we know about it is that apparently the Highlander and Fafiner knight are going to the EO3 place for some reason, I don't remmeber why, but it'll prolly touch on all the plot points of vanilla 3 with new stuff

I heard EOU2 made beasts good (I didn't bother checking myself tho in the brief time you have the wolf in the demo) so they can prolly manage it.

Wonder if they'll continue the tradition and make the designated Story Mode Waifu an EO4 class.

Is there a reason to believe EO4 would get an update as well, even though it'd just be going 3DS to 3DS unlike the other titles? Not like anything else is coming out on the 3DS these days so I might as well give 4 a go anyway.

probably not, and if it is it will be waaaay off. it's more likely they're doing eo5 first

eo4 doesn't really need an update

prolly not since the EOU2 chick is one.

Nah, the EOU series is basically just porting the original trilogy over to EO4's engine with all of the quality of life additions 4 brought to the table.

The Ant Agony quest in EO3 has a client asking to take for revenge their slain guild members and whose name happens to be Ricky. :v:

9 sounds cool, because then KCB and I can play at the same time, instead of me having to wait for KCB to eventually get back to untold 1 and beat it before she lets me play through ng+ classic mode :v:

Lettin' Fujiko Mine's ending marinate in my mind for a spell.

Probably won't watch any more anime today.

EOIV felt like it hit a nice balance of plot, but not too much plot. If that makes sense.

I really liked what that ending had to say about Fujiko as a character.

It's kinda anti-climatic in some ways, but it also makes sense that what seems like an attempt to define any of the Lupin crew's backstories would wind up that way.

Hey, y'all! I saw that you guys made 5000+ posts while I was in recovery from getting eye surgery. Was going to try and read them all and then decided that, after the talk of VN's for like 5 pages, to say gently caress that noise and just cut all the way to the end.

Still getting used to some things, but now I see hella better, even if the contact lenses for protection feel like someone's pouring garlic sauce in my eyes at times. They're taking those suckers out on monday, though, so I can manage. Been listening to a shitload of audiobooks / drama cd's and I kinda wanted to get my feet wet again and watch me some anime. What do you guys recommend from this season?

Also: The SMT IV OST is so loving good.

It still sort of defines them, just not in a traditional manner. Ultimately it turns out Fujiko's much-hinted at past is just a red herring (it's actually someone else's), but even if it were her own it doesn't matter: Fujiko is who Fujiko chooses to be. Rather than an attempt to define the cast's past, it becomes an acknowledgement that Lupin and crew really don't need one. They are who they chose to be. Certainly their previous experiences matter, but they are not controlled by them.

Interestingly, this theme builds up Lupin and Zenigata as the most mature among the cast. Lupin steals, Zenigata chases, and neither of them worries too much about who they used to be or how they got here. The only time Zenigata invokes the past is to reveal to Oscar how he chose to become the man he is, which is the key word: chose. A lot of fiction, not just anime, is fixated on the idea that we are predefined by our circumstances. The Woman Called Fujiko Mine rejects that fatalism.

To quote another show, "People are not defined by their memories."
