I'll take Dan Hamhuis Rare photo of Hamhuis not looking like he's about to burst into tears D - 6'1" 200lbs - Shoots Left The prototypical smooth skating, defensive defenceman Hamhuis will be tasked with anchoring my second pairing and shutting down other team's best forwards. He's starting to decline a bit, but he's still one of the best in the business at taking away lanes and keeping up with faster forwards. If he provided even the smallest amount of offence he'd be a $7M franchise type. Instead he's a good second pairing guy. I imagine he'll start the season paired up with Ekblad to let him work on his puck rushing.
