NNID: UselessPlayer Didn't get a chance to play too much, but the new weapons don't feel overpowered to fight against, even though I played absolutely terrible today. I really enjoy how the new Urchin Underpass opened the approaches to the middle. Hopefully they redo Arowanna Mall too so the center isn't a death bowl on top of a hill.

If you play normal mode like me, now you can pretty much always be ink-rolling and just Killer Wail to get your ink back when you run low. This game is good and I bought a WiiU for it.

The minigun is really good. Really, really good. Also, Saltspray Rig doesn't suck in tower defense anymore! What a time to be alive.

bucket is really fun, i've had 10+ kills per match playing in ranked. tend to die fairly often, but i think i'm getting the hang of it. nothing special showed up in my shop, but there was a super fresh squid in my lobby that i snatched three new items from.

The range on the bucket is surprising. Horizontally and vertically. Might outrange an aerospray.

The revised Tower route for Saltspray Rig is awful. did they learn nothing from the bad Splatzone version of that map? 90% of the round is now trying to get the Tower out of no-man's-land. That said, I somehow managed to grab the Tower with three seconds left on the clock and ride that fucker to an Overtime win  .

I have to wonder who thought allowing 4-player teams to go up against 3-player teams was a good idea. At least let lone ranked players join the empty spot on the 3-man team when you match a 3v4 for gently caress's sake

They had two jobs with this recent update: skip Callie and Marie, and have sound options to turn off the godawful soundtrack without turning off the in-game sound effects. They performed neither. Gotta say, I like the new weapons though! It's good we finally have lobbies too.

It took me a bit to get used to how the splatling gun works but man that thing is a beast! Quickly tapping squid button is essential for shooting/rev cancelling and making yourself as mobile as possible.

Moving your score at S rank is very very tricky. Rank points are now very linked to the score difference in a match. Only getting 3-5 most matches up or down as they're usually pretty close or longer at this level. You really have to score a quick knock out to get rank points.

Also how much they've inked with each weapon. There's also a tab where you can see the future stage selections. There's also what appears to be a rudimentary messaging system that lets you send a time and premade message to people on your friend list, ostensibly to plan online funtimes. Pretty nifty, I hope the US website gets all this.

The new version also adds climbable blocks that make the perches much more accessible and therefore attackable. I think you're forgetting that the old version also favoured chargers heavily, except they could stand on their spawn platform where you couldn't reach them at all. This is better.

having played several matches on Rig, it's not that bad. all the entrances, barring the front, are easy to target from range or below and even easier to pressure people out of. anyway, ever since I touched the Splatling I haven't won a match. skill ceiling on it seems like the highest of any weapon and i'm getting owned by every other weapon type.
