This is us paying the piper for preparing concrete wickets. The pitches we served up for India were disgraceful. I'll give Warner and Rogers a pass because they got caught on the crease by good bowling. That happens. I'm concerned by Smith turning good balls into great balls but that's a different matter. The rest though. What a pack of front foot plodders. Why do they think Joe Root is on the back foot with a baseball bat stance.

Wasn't always like this. Even in the 2009 Ashes which Australia lost the batsmen still plundered runs and made more tons than the English batsmen. It's only relatively recently that Australia have become so fragile overseas, we were whitewashed by Pakistan just last year.
