I found the jumping puzzle in Cost of Magic easier with mouse move. During the retreat transitions in the raid I found that I had trouble turning around fast enough to avoid getting insta-gibbed. The final boss in Facility choked up my computer during the Filth puddle phase, which made it difficult to use the controller and not die. I do wish the game had native support for controllers, but the third party option was good enough for running around while doing missions and group dungeons. It even worked pretty well in the pvp maps.

According to the link: "We want everyone to play TSW “The way they want to play”, so this currency will be rewarded for completing dungeons, and also missions, scenarios, pvp, etc... " So, you'll be getting them from non-dungeon sources.

Also yes they did change the drop rates. One old BB is equivalent to ten new BB. So nightmare bosses will drop BB in multiples of 10. For doing 18s you'd get 100 total per dungeon, 300 all up each day if that's all you do. So the rate of progression if you do solely nightmares is exactly the same as it is now, just with the numbers a bit higher and the added bonus of also getting BB for other stuff.

Yeah, I went on a bag buying spree to get rid of my low level sequins when I started playing again in May. Whoops! But I do like that now I can continue duoing with my only friend who plays this game and still actually progress. Unless things have changed since I paid attention a month ago, they are planning to release issue 12 and these changes this month sometime.

Returning player here, pre-ordered TSW and was in love with the setting/story; however my PC couldn't run it very well and after the free trial period ended for a few of my friends I was stuck playing alone and ran out of steam. I never progressed past Solomon Island, but I really, really enjoyed the "Mysteries" and other puzzle based missions. I'm thinking of rerolling entirely, but I am kind of worried about starting over in Solomon island... again. Any of the DLC worth it, from a story standpoint? I will probably be playing this solo for the time being.

You have to be invested in the story of the secret world though to get anything out of it. The new missions are interesting and add some neat mechanics. Im talking about the Tokyo DLC.

I'm kind of heartbroken that this game runs so poorly on my PC, I've done what I can but I'd say it's only tolerable for about 50-60% of the time any given play session. Lag where my character is standing still and gliding across the floor, or engaging an enemy only to find that the only thing animated are damage numbers -- no movement from my character or the enemies. I've gone from DX11 down to DX9 and turned down (or completely off) the extraneous filter settings. I'll put my rig below, but considering that I've been dragging my rear end with upgrading my OS, I almost want to blame Vista just because it'd be nice if my upgrade to Windows 10 in the near future would fix it. Windows Vista 64-bit Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.50GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.5GHz 4094MB RAM AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series (old as gently caress I know)

I was playing it on slightly better hardware (Q9550, also 4GB RAM, GeForce GTX 560 Ti) for ages, performance was never stellar but it was never THAT bad. For what it looks like, the game is terrible for running as badly as it does, but I'd expect you to have low framerates, not what you describe. If your animations don't play, I want to say it's either network issues (but then I guess floating combat text wouldn't appear?) or a slow or dying hard disk.

Faction matters for perspective on the overarching story. Illuminati is the most hilarious and clear cut. Dragon is vague and talks in riddles but reveals the most lore. Templar is for people who think demons are bad and we gotta kill bad things rarara. Dragon also "Wins" tokyo and has the biggest change overall after the events of tokyo If the game is running like garbage make sure you are not running DX10. DX10 is poorly optimzed for their game engine.
