To boldly be eaten where no grot has been eaten before!
Well having had three games and three wins under my belt now, I'd say take Scum, take Fett with the K4 droid and something else and a swarm of lovely ships (M3A or Z-95).

I had fun with a Fett, Y wing, 2 interceptor list, though if I'd change it I'd drop the Y wing for even more lovely ships, because I like swarm builds.

Interesting, I've been thinking of switching from 5 Alpha Ints + AT into something with better PS to deal with Dash and Chiraneau+Fel.
Sort of looks like yours:
TIE Interceptor - Carnor Jax + VI + AT
TIE Interceptor - Turr Phennir + VI + AT
TIE Interceptor - Alpha + AT
TIE Interceptor - Alpha + AT

Then see about replacing Turr with Maarek after the Raider gets here.

I've been running Soontier Fel, Tetran Cowall and Turr Phennir all with PTL, Royal Guard Tie, Stealth Device and Autothrusters.

It's not super great but it's plenty fun to play.

I was thinking of running a list specifically to punish a player that only brings Fat Han+3z to every game simply because he looked up the top champion list. He is a very poor loser and not much better of a winner. Also, he called me an rear end in a top hat.
So please give me some feed back on this Kavil swarm. I could swamp in a Firespray or Ys but I don't own any Aggressors.

I love giving Vader the Squad Leader ability because being able to have any other pilot do an emergency barrel roll/boost/whatever and still take an action yourself is just too hot.

I might be a scrub though.

Someone earlier in the thread suggested:

Vader
-Title
-Veteran Instincts
-Accuracy Corrector

And it owns. I've been running him along with PTL/RGT/Stealth/Autothrusters Jax and Fel, and it feels like a very powerful list, albeit one that gets dumpstered hard if you screw up your positioning with your Interceptors. He soloed a Dash Rendar once just by staying in his dead zone and slowly whittling him down with two damage a turn.

When that new cartoon TIE fighter comes out, I want to try:

Vader
-Title
-Veteran Instincts
-Accuracy Corrector
-Engine Upgrade

Fel
-PTL
-Stealth Device

-Autothrusters

It's just shorthand for Engine Upgrade, which lets a ship boost (extra move). But yeah, I could see where the cushion comes from :v:

Edit: for Vader there's basically no reason not to ATC. Assuming you can take 1 turn to TL someone, it's extremely powerful. Less amazing against swarms, but very powerful against two ship lists.

Alright, seeing as there's a local X-Wing tournament in a couple of weeks, I think I should get some input on the two candidate lists I've put together (I'd use the Luke/Wes/Wedge one, but I'm not sure if the Rebel Transport pack would be worth the cost for just Wes, as I doubt I'd use the transport itself much, if at all). Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure what to do with Wedge/the last three points, though. I suppose I could get rid of Katarn (since the focus gained after using stress in place of an offensive focus would only really be useful in evasion), then use those points on R2-D2 and something else, but I'm not entirely sure..

From what I've seen, mines/bombs don't seem to be looked upon too highly, but I dunno, I've met a fair bit of success in using them to obliterate an enemy tailing me, or one who's about to overshoot/pass me. I might cut back and only have 1-2 in total, though.

EDIT: Also, for the YYY list, would it be better to have them as Rebels, or Scum? The main reason why I picked Scum was that I could get unhinged astros, which seem like a boon for Y-Wings - but I could quite easily be missing something.

I'd drop the upgrades you have on Keyan and give him Advanced Sensors if you have it, it allows you to do things like use an action before activation, chain that into a red maneuver, and then spend the stress on his next attack and repeat the process all over again. You've got enough points to give Wedge something like VI or Determination and an R2 Astromech.

TIE-A: Darth Vader - TIE/x1, Squad Leader, Twin Ion Engine Mk2 or Engine Upgrade, Advanced Targeting Computer
TIE-P: Echo - Adv. Cloaking Device, Veteran Instincts

I have no idea what I'm doing. I bought a core set when this game first came out but lost interest when I saw the meta was just 4-5 of the same exact ship. I talked to the owner of my LGS after magic on friday though and he said there's a pretty good spread of lists swarm or no swarm that can be played now. So I bought the Scum and Villainy expansion.

Can I not use the Z95s with the Xwing I have? I'm kind of confused because there are lists for S&V and Rebel that use them but the rules seem to say S&V cannot be used in rebel or imp lists?

Also anyone have suggestions on where to start or what to buy from here?

You can use the scum Z95 model as a rebel one, but since Most Wanted doesnt come with any rebel pilot cards or bases you need til buy a rebel Z95 to get them. Ditto with scum Y Wings.

Unfortunately I don't have Advanced Sensors - what pack does this come with? Sounds ideal for Farlander! What would you recommend instead of Advanced Sensors? I suppose I could give Wedge an engine upgrade and something else (PTL? I think it might be slightly too expensive for the points I have left, though) to make him a better escort/flanker for the B-Wings.

Oh! I might need to get an E-Wing, then. I've always been interested in trying them out, as you guys have described it as a slightly souped-up X-Wing (I'm guessing the mid-point between an X-Wing and a B-Wing?).

Also, side-question for you all: Would getting a fourth Y-Wing (already have two from MW packs and one from the stand-alone Rebel pack) for the extra Rebel generic pilots -namely the Gold Squadron pilot- be worthwhile? Or is fielding four Y-Wings at once just too impractical to be worth the cost of an entirely new Y-Wing on top of what I've already got?

I think you could get some mileage out of a four Scum Y-Wing list but it would be kind of a niche thing. Three ought to be a pretty solid foundation for any amount of Y-Wing shenanigans you want to get up to.

The E-Wing is actually more like an X-Wing and an A-Wing mashed together, with the X-Wing's offensive punch and some, but not all, of the A-Wing's speed. They have barrel roll and evade as well as focus and target lock, and 3's in everything except Hull which they have 2 in, as well as a 3- and 4-speed K-turn. They also get Astromech and Advanced Systems slots in addition to the usual EPT and torpedo slots.

Their drawbacks are being expensive, moreso than B-Wings generally (the cheapest E-Wing mook is 27 points to the cheapest B-Wing's 22) and a dial that's basically like the X-Wing's but with a 5-straight and an extra K-turn. Corran Horn, the top E-Wing pilot, is pretty decent because he has an ability that can be super useful with some careful planning (make an extra attack with him during the end phase, then skip your next normal attack with him) and some folks like to pair him with Fat Han. I wouldn't buy more than one E-Wing, but I would buy the one.

If you don't have Advanced Sensors for Keyan than maybe try Stay On Target or perhaps even Push The Limit as ways to ensure you can maximize both the time you spend with enemy ships in your firing arc as well as giving you that sweet stress to spend. Also remember something important, you can spend Keyan's stress even if there are no eyeballs on your red dice, which means as long as you're able to make an attack with him you can always shed that stress.

Good lord, that's even better! I like sliding the A-Wing around the board quite a bit, but its impotence when it comes to throwing punches turns me off it - so the E-Wing being an A-X hybrid sounds very nice! I can see your point about not getting more than one, though - particularly with a cost like that. Would running two Bs and an E (probably with the E being naked, if I give Farlander PTL - I don't have SOT) be better than Wedge, or would Wedge be more cost-effective, do you think? (I suspect Wedge would be better in this situation due to his ability, but you never know; that E dial sounds quite nice)

Thanks for all the info, you guys

Depending on how serious you're playing, you technically need the Imperial Raider (not out yet, $70) to fly the TIE Advanced because it'll come with a card that fixes the TIE-A's lovely attack. If you're just playing with your friend then just proxy it. Besides that you should be fine, flying Interceptors and Phantoms is really fun and risky. Your mini-swarm will also accompany them well.
