If I'm not mistaken on how the calculations work 54%-46% would have been a win in favor of team hot dog.

So far the pro Splatfest tip seems to be Side With Callie.

They better do a Team Marie vs Team Callie Splatfest with the sisters rooting for the other.

If a team has a 52% win lead, they would need at least 43% popularity to be the winning team. if they had 42% , they'd actually tie.

Curious what would happen if a splatfest were to end up in a tie.

Absolutely. I don't know how many people actually participate in each Splatfest but I imagine the total match count is significant. If one were to play the entire time with no breaks that would not amount to 500 matches, and that's if you had an extreme play session. An individual can do their best for the team but the end result is never going to be a real reflection of your own efforts unless people just stop playing Splatfest. (The point being, have fun and don't worry about it)

I wish they would add friend matching to Splatfest because I think it would be more fun to play with and against my friends.

The splatling is just excessively good when enemies are being predictable/clumping up. Had a splatfest match where the entire enemy team attempted to come over their side/jump down in front of our base from that mesh overpass. Splatted every single one in a full charge barrage. Was like a cattle chute pouring ink onto our side.

I am we all.

Counterpoint: Roller Coasters vs Water Slides. Slides was more popular (somehow), Coasters took it with the winrate. However, it does seem like a 60%+ popularity vote in any category is insurmountable at the moment, even with a 4x winrate weight.

So how are the AU/EU guys doing? I'm on Team South Pole and halfway through, I was teamed up with a Tentatek Splattershot Gal, a Heavy Splatling Guy and a Krak-On Roller Guy and along with my Scoped 3K we pretty much decimated Team North Pole until I got to Queen and had to stop to make dinner.

We had a good groove going where at the beginning of the match, the Splatling Guy and I would head to mid into defensive positions to splat anyone trying to get on our side while the Roller and the Splattershot would ink up our side of the map. Once everyone has regrouped, the three of them would head out into enemy territory while I would stay at mid and pick off anybody trying to sneak into our side and also to provide a jump point for splatted teammates.

Seriously good teamwork, if we didn't outright spawn camp them, our turf inked would always be in the 1,000's. Many Nice!'s to go around and my longest winstreak ever (+26.5). :D

Honestly I was surprised at how good the connection was for me in the US, especially since I usually play Japanese. Only had a couple BS matches and only got booted from lobby once.

As a Dynamo, splatlings seemed pretty good at distance. Also seemed to cover that Moray Tower area fairly well (barring chargers of course).

Also I think I can now safely add the Slosher to my repertoire of Weapons I Am Good With, alongside the various Rollers (sans Dynamo, because gently caress battleaxes) and the Splatty J.

edit: also seriously, if you're anything like me, even going hotdog you got enough snails from this thing that you're already running out of things to meaningfully use them on while having a bunch left, so even on that front who cares

Wireless, and I'm well aware of the issues that come with it. I'm not complaining about lag, or disconnecting during matches, both because I get why they would happen. But literally not being able to find players in a lobby for full like 4-5 minute periods is 1. something that never happens to me during regular play and 2. not something that can be blamed on a wireless connection

I did my part for the glory of the south pole. I think the north pole definitely have the numbers as I never once had a south vs south match. However, me and my south pole buddies absolutely dominated. I think we only lost 3 or 4 matches on my way to becoming South Pole King. My 'On Fire' rank was up at +24 by the end of it.
