Nah, they've been doing this before Neville was beefing with Stardust, after the fact they realized that they are essentially marketing Neville as a super hero flying character and it all worked out well thematically

Jesus yes. We were watching this live in the Raw GDT, and he went over the barricade and into the ring like a high flyer. Plus, his spear and interview afterwards was pretty amazing.

They'll reduce the time he spends in the ring and tightly script everything, so it should be fun.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if this is being done as kind of a promo for the next season, so it would absolutely make sense for Amell to turn up in (perhaps trimmed down for safety reasons) costume. From what I vaguely understand of WWE and the Stardust character, it would make sense for Amell to turn up and screw with the guy's head anyway by being 'for real'.

It turns out that WWE Amell actually IS Oliver Queen, and events at Summerslam convince him to return to Star City for season 4.
