I assume you mean getting everything level? Both of those pictures were actually taken level, it's the clouds and mountains that are screwy as far as I can tell. What do you do in that situation, just fudge it?

Yeah the original had the mountains and clouds tilted to one side. Maybe the original was taken level I dunno but clouds shouldn't be on a slant like that, that's just not how clouds roll. Also mountains and clouds are like 80% of that shot so if anything's level it should be them. The repost is much better and doesn't seem to have thrown the valley floor off at all. Everything looks "right" to me.

I dunno if its just because I'm bad or if I'm being too hard with myself but I'm struggling to find stuff now thats interesting since posting here. I know one more spot that would look cool at sunrise on a foggy morning but :effort:

I love the pattern the trees make, but the bottom foliage suggests that the photo has been over-sharpened. Maybe you got hosed by flickr?

I did do a tiny bit of sharpening, but even the raw file has the same look to the foliage. Either the plant was super reflective or a bit silvery, but either way it does make the shot look over-sharpened.

Really love the lighting/mood.

This is really cool. How did you get the straight vertical lines? Perspective correction or did you crop out a big chunk of the lower frame?

Don't forget the other option: tilt-shift lens.
